Barca B team is probably better then their A team now. They lost 7-8 starters, 10 total kids, and the coach. That team is a shell of themselves now. Went from an elite team to losing to 3rd rank teams like the slammers. What is going on over there?

Why is last season NY state cup champions Gunners now being called the LI Slammers black team in EDP 1? Seems like Tommy Lipps is scheming something. Last season he reached out and made a side LI slammers team out of mostly Braca pro players, who all went to mls next. Is this to try and backdoor his club into a new league with these loaded side teams?

Supposedly the old Gunners team is the new A team at Slammers for 2010. The old Susa B team is the new B team for them and the original slammers 2010 team is now the C team.

Yes. Black (Gunners) is the A team. Maroon and White (Susa B team)are the same team. They are the B team playing in 2 lower level leagues with a tremendous amount of traveling each week

I assume you are referring to the person who is breaking down the levels of each Slammers team? Actually I appreciate it. All these clubs try to call each team by color instead of of A, B or C. It's hard to know what team a player would want to try out for or for a team to know if they are competing against the best or 2nd best.

Besides it's not hard. Slammers Black (The Gunners) are competing in Premiere 1. Thats definitely the top league. Slammers Maroon and White (Susa B) are playing in the 2nd Division of RL which is basically a 3rd division for ECNL and the old Slammers A team is unquestionably in an even lower division than that.

Gunners are not as strong as last season though. They lost a few key players.

Free tournaments are usually treated more like scrimmages for certain teams...

In that case, we see the downfall of one club and the rise of another.

It's a disgrace that EM would place a team in this division. Sub players won't get anything out of it. Another EM ploy to get 22 players signed up for an ECNL team.

I agree to an extent that EM should be in top division but EDP organization placed them in 2nd division. It was because they never played EDP and have to prove themselves. You keep silent about ECFC Benfica or whatever they call themselves now, in a premier division they have no business being in. Once again proving they are getting taken for a ride, losing to Brentwood in a shutout on home turf.

Brentwood should score 10 goals today but only 5 cause Eastcoast team very lucky.

I saw this EM team recently in the EM tournament and they are not by any means of the word a top team. Going 0 and 4 scoring 3 goals letting in 12. Finishing dead last out of 5 teams. Probably wouldn't have even won the 2 bracket either

I saw them play two games in the same tournament, they are not good for goal scoring.

Apparently not good at goal stopping either. They are a tier 3 team

EC obviously knows they don't have real top teams. They just put their top team in The ECRL 2nd tier, it's literally same as playing at a D4 level. Imagine competing against SUSA and EM 3rd teams. Those clubs don't have good 1st teams. At this age and going forward if it's not MLS Next it's not a very high level.

EC "lends" A team players to help out the B team, not working out so well for them as they lost again. It's a complete shytshow, A team players feel they are being demoted, B team players playing time is shortened to accommodate A team players. It's a lose lose proposition and results don't lie.

Or maybe that new league is just really bad. It's honestly a waste of time for a team like that. They are just doing it to get ECNL status next year

Is that what John is telling the parents to keep them hanging on? ECNL only goes to clubs that have infrastructure in place (their own fields, teams is all age groups), EC scrambles to find adequate fields as it is.

Those parents are being taken for a ride and are a laughing stock. How are they putting up with such crap every losing season.

i dont understand some of the comments here. In no club would there ever be a B team that is better than the A team. So whoever mentioned Barca B is better than A should be revoked from ever posting anything ever again.

I think that EM team that is in Division 2 is probably the Uruguayan Black that was in D2 last season. remember those 2 defunctional orgs merged. Some idiot said because they never have been in the league they were put in D2. These leagues do their research and know what they are doing.

all of this hate towards EM and EC here. Where do you recommend these parents bring their kids to play? There are limit options out there that is in the area. there's good and bad everywhere and it's about what you want to put up with. Lesser of 2 evils. End of the day, it's how parents want to spend their money. Maybe kids have friends and dont want to move. many reasons on why parents are putting up with such crap.

Can't be serious. EC has one of the best teams in this age group. They will be playing slammers this weekend. I'm assuming slammers black (gunners) since they are the better team
