Every business I know of loves to get accolades including the Back of THE NET. The difference with Back of THE NET is if it isn't true we'll say so, so that's why I'm bringing this up to all of you since we don't have the answer. Jon Feinstein and Jerome Barbiero of East Coast FC, sent me a text message thanking BOTN for sending ECFC two thousand (2,000) kids to their tryouts. Two thousand (2,000) kids? I've not been to anybody's tryouts including East Coast FC, but I know that a lot of you folks have, so let me ask you a question; did you see 2,000 kids at East Coast FC Tryout's? I can't believe that it's true, but I wasn't there so that's why I'm asking you. To document what I'm telling you just look below at the screenshot of the text message I received yesterday from both Jon and Jerome and I'm asking you, is this true or false? Dividing 18 (players per team) by 2,000 means that East Coast FC has or could have an additional 111 teams. Since BOTN terminated its advertising agreement with East Coast FC on April 30, and did not in anyway promote ECFC tryouts, we are confused by this text message as we dont believe we sent 2,000 kids to ECFC or any other club, and we dont believe 2,000 kids showed up unless you tell us so. Finally, we question what was the point of this erroneous text message? Was it to bust my balls? Was it sarcasm? Was it so I could brag and by doing so make the ECFC club look bigger than SUSA and embarrass their competitors? Inquiring minds want to know. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.backofthenet.com/images/ECFC-Feinstein-Barbiero.png)

Just fyi negative press here helps clubs too. Your mentioning SUSA EM East Coast LISC Slammers all the time Why not mention all the great things Local clubs are doing and the impact they have on children development. Instead, your sold out to the business model in NY.
Mention clubs like Rockville Center, Massapequa, New Hyde Park, Syosset, Floral Park, Manhasset, Commack, North Port, etc. If these clubs can’t promote on sites like this one because your too expensive or personally have issues with the club presidents, you’ll be part of their demise! Might as well put yourself in the same category as Grossman for destroying Long Island Soccer.

Might as well put yourself in the same category as Grossman for destroying Long Island Soccer. Your post shows that you dont have an accurate picture at all...let me enlighten you. First of all, ALL of the town clubs have been able to post tryouts here for the past 30+ years freely. For profit clubs pay. Town clubs apparently do not choose to promote their clubs on BOTN or I would have engaged. Dont blame me if the town clubs turn a blind eye to BOTN. That is their choice. BOTN is expensive is also not accurate? BOTN does not make enough money for me to live on Long island. BOTN is and always has been a hobby, its something for me to do after I retired from radio many, many years ago. As far as your opinion that I helped destroy LI soccer I'd certainly be interested to hear exactly how I have done that, but do appreciate the power you assign to both me and BOTN. As far as comparing me to Gary Grossman that is totally laughable. If Grossman destroyed Long island soccer than what role of responsibility do all the clubs and teams that financially support his league play? Groosman would be impotent if your team played in another league. Finally, BOTN is a NEWS site, and all the above mentioned clubs are fair news stories as is any of the town clubs. If you want to blame me I'm very OK with that, but it simply isn't so. Nice try, but no sale.

You may want to remove the phone number listed in your text picture...

I think there should be an option for people to create their own thread. If there is sorry im not seeing it. I would like a thread started about town clubs. Which town clubs are around that are competitive, how they do playing against other clubs, price range compared to the same bames always mentioned here.

All the posts re Surf and East Coast, good or bad, certainly raised their name power. Any surveyor of this site would think LI consisted of three of clubs" SUSA, Surf/East Coast. EMSC.

All you need to do be able to create your own post plus other perks is be a registered user and logged in. Then when you go to the main message board, you’ll see a button in the upper left that says. NEW TOPIC. And all you have to do is click on it and post away. If you were registered user and logged in, there are a lot of other things that you were able to do on the message board that anonymous poster can’t do. I hope that helps answer your question.

Sorry I left out Barca as I don’t really follow the boys side of things, but yes , them too! Both LISC and Barca parents remind me of the red-headed step children throwing a temper tantrum, stomping feet, screaming, ‘what about me?’

Just so you know… ECSC kids at U13 become SURF. I can see eventually the entire program just being SURF again.

Hey Larry, what did you write back to him? Only showed what he wrote My reply is this post. I thought it would be better if I shared my reply with everybody so that you could join in because I thought those of you that are parents, and are paying money to these people should see the quality of the people you’re in trusting your children to. I don’t think this is a good picture for them, and if you do, that’s OK with me, because it’s your kid. It sure is hell wouldn’t be mine.

Larry, I highly doubt you didn’t respond. Based on what you say on this site, I am sure there is more to this text thread then you are showing us. You write back to every poster on this site, so you want us to believe you wouldn’t answer a text message? Very uncharacteristic from you

I left the phone number on the post just for you
