Actually everyone knows if you want a scholarship you study hard, get good grades, participate in extracurricular activities (including sports) and do lots of community service. The number of academic scholarship dwarfs athletic scholarships by many to few....

Don't waste your breath with this type of logic. Most of the people on these boards would rather their kid play D1 and LIU vs D3 at MIT.

EM's best player off to Susa. What is going on over there? Rustic struggling to keep it together?

No surprise there. Any player that is serious about soccer will NEVER remain at loserville EM. College scouts can never take a serious look at these girls after the East Meadow clowns are done with them.

Colleges recruit players not teams or clubs. If you're choosing to sit on the bench at SUSA vs starting at EMSC your making a bad decision.

Starting at EMSC with supporting players that are still playing U11 soccer is even worse. Sitting on the bench and being around top players will always lead to the athlete to showcase their skills when supported by decent teammates. Based on EMSC reputation as a club, they are going to be taken seriously. They compete at college showcases in the bottom brackets against other NON ECNL teams. That is where coaches will probably go when they are desperate. At SUSA however, even if on the bench, you profile will show you are on a top team and you will have competed in the top brackets against top soccer athletes. Don't let the EM machinery fool you.

Very true. However, coaches usually are more equitable with the playing time at showcases since it doesn't affect the standings and they need to get everyone a somewhat fair look. Think about this scenario. EM and SUSA go to the same showcase, but since SUSA is higher in the rankings they'll get tiered in a higher bracket. If players on EM and SUSA contact the same college and there is a conflict with the times, which team do you think they're most likely to go see. I'm betting that they'll go the SUSA match since the thought is that better teams are made up of better players playing in the better tier.

What the heck makes you people think that she won't start on SUSA. She will be a top 5 player on that team. She will start on day 1 AND will play major minutes in every game.. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!

Are the games for SUSA G08 team streamed live? Seems like that team should get higher streaming ratings than the USWNT.

As much as EM will hate to admit it but this is very true. Only started a few years ago and now it’s a problem for them.

So stupid having two ECNL clubs that are just 25 minutes apart (fields).

Truth be told. I don't know the kid that we are talking about, but based on the tone of these message boards all the players at EMSC are not good enough to play at SUSA. Or is this juat a case of the stink when they are against us and awesome when they are with us.

It is more of a case where they stink because they are on a very poorly picked team. No offence to the other girls, when she cannot get a pass then she cannot shine. However when she is among better players, her potential goes through the roof and we see the quality she is made of. At EMSC, great group of girls but favoritism and politics before talent can never win at anything.

Aren't they basically the same considering EM beat SUSA the last time they played?

EMSC ECNL 08 Trainer has discouraged or lost so many players over the years. Long long list of players 03s - 08s. It speaks volumes that a top I'm assuming homegrown talented player leaves and goes to SUSA. That should never happen. What a loss for the team. Teams weren't that far a part in talent. The EM 08 trainer has turned the program upside down. For those who stick it out with him, Good luck.

Enough with the teams were not far apart rhetoric. EM won 1 game in 7 attempts since ECNL started. Susa is a two time playoff participant, zero for EM. They are not comparable.

JR said he played the kids who don’t normally get minutes in the EM game. Left starters out.

The disconnect between Em coaches and their players continues. It is a shame to let that player leave.

Please stop. Any team can beat any team on any given day. That's why you play on the field an not on BOTN! It doesn't mean EMSC is better it just means they won a single game. You millennial snowflakes need to teach your kids about responsibility.

There is zero chance he would let up a win for the sake of playing the bench more. I mean they bring down ECNL players to the RL games just to ensure home wins. There's just not that much difference in playing ability between the 2 clubs on the ECNL level.

You also need to Stop. The SUSA 08 team has been much more successful then the East Meadow. While it was a good win for EMSC don't get ahead of yourself. 5-4-1 vs 94-1 is not exactly "not that much difference".

they've been more successful, not much more. 3rd place vs 5th.. not 1st vs 8th. splitting hairs in the middle here.
