Fact is if your son is a top team level player & you are already spending some cash there is no other leagues to play in besides ECNL (not RL) or MLS next.
Just speaking facts

If ECNL is the only way to go and lets just assume it's ECNL for the LI contingent, then I'd be careful of what you wish for if all these said boys at EM tryouts for example are from high level non ECNL teams.....they just might push your kid off the ECNL team.

100% agree. Honorable mention to EC Boca, they are a top team but play in a non competitive league. Their other teams are trash so the club as a whole does not develop players.

U can't be serious. EC boca league every one of those teams would beat EM down. And in NY ECNL is not good. EDP premiere 1 is the superior league with the top teams. EM would be close to the bottom in that division also. Keep thinking ECNL is the top lol. Yet another parent who lives in that very small ECNL bubble who hasn't seen any other NY team, who pays the most so it must be the best

Did Valencia play today or was it a forfeit? Interesting the way positions have changed in that division. You can be in 1st place for 4 weeks then sink as fast as the titanic once everybody else plays out their schedule.

Any team that does not make their current players try out for next season is doing a disservice to the team. You are a hoax and fugazi!!

The talented players would've tried out for SUSA, EMSC or Barca. If they went to LISC, Kozy or East Coast they are just wasting their time. Have fun being part of some 3rd division team in a rec soccer league.

They would have gone to MLS Next over any of those clubs if they were that talented.

Leave Valencia alone. I am 2009 and would never go to East Meadow. No one at East Meadow, SUSA, Barca are getting scholarships to division 1 schools. Look at these records my daughter just found. She plays for our local town team before you ask.

2010 East Meadow ECNL went 2-13-1. Their ECRL went 0-15-1. With a combined 2-28-2, how much longer with they have ECNL status?
2009 combined record is even worse at 1-30-1. Do the EM parents get reimbursed for this disaster or do they just get a magnet that says the EM Way and free use of the beautifully re-designed porta potty at the Field of Nightmares, Oops meant Dreams.

You wouldn't go or your son tried out and wasn't extended an invitation? The latter seems to be the right answer.

They obviously don't extend invitations to good players anyway. Based on that record all their choice invitees are in the toilet. The probably chose them in the very same porta potty at FOD.

Wow, how bad is your son that he got overlooked in favor of toilet dwellers? No wonder you are concerned.

It's funny you even utter ECNL and MLS next in the same breathe in this age group. ECNL is pure pure garbage in this age group. And continue to lose to EDP/national league teams in every age group in tournaments. But I guess you have to justify that $4000 ECNL tuition somehow

Stop pounding your chest. ECNL on the boys side is also a joke.
