These non-academy clubs should stop with their summer ID camp narrative. No one is coming from Europe to look for talent on Long Island. They are merely "identifying" which parents have money to throw away.

What are they calling this new ECNL 3rd tier? Don't believe for a second SUSA and EM does not love this new 3rd tier to sell their 3rd teams on. (If EM has 3rd teams)
They are calling it ECNL RL because it is just an expansion of the existing ECRL to bring more clubs in. It is not a new 3rd tier. They allowed some clubs like SUSA to add a team to the division which gives them 3 teams, and yes that is a money grab.

No skin in the game but is it such a big deal. Real question, what is to stop them from granting ECNL in the near future. It isnt a promotional/relegation league, so one would assume a short trial period and then granting full ECNL no matter any age groups record. If ECNL did it based on performance East Meadow would be a LIJSL town club by now.
Remove the blinders!!!! If that is the case, then why don[t they just say that ? There is no mention whatsoever about the abbreviations ECRL but highlight ECNL. Do you not see this or are you purposely looking the other way? It's a lie and full of deceit.

100%!! It's hysterical to see them photoshop the ECNL badge onto their tryout flyers and social media pages and selling ECNL this...ECNL that.....meanwhile it's only a few of their SURF teams that didn't work out in elite64, that will playing in this new ECRL division. Big whoop...No diff than EDP. Def some false marketing.

If you have that flyer with your claiming EC NL when they don’t have it, you should send it to EC NL because that’s gonna really piss them off. EC NL does not want their brand bastardized by Eastcoast or anybody else. If you’ve got the tryout flyers and you have a ECNL logo on it. Take a screenshot and send it to EC NL and if you don’t have the balls to do it, send it to me because I’ve got big hairy soccer balls.

It is all BS, like always on this board. I checked all of their Instagram posts, Facebook posts, and any emails I received from them for tryouts. They all state ECNL Regional League for their tryouts. There is no photoshopping going on, no claiming ECNL NL. No false marketing going on just the same parent that has been posting BS all year and continues to relentlessly.

No hate please, headed to Massachusetts this weekend for a tournament, Juventus Academy, we never heard of before. Perhaps some other clubs have attended this in the past? Most parents wanted to do FC Delco but for some reason the club directors are sending us up to Boston. We're not even in the top flight, does that mean there are much stronger teams ?

There are some tough teams up there.

If you are not in the top flight, that means you are not competing at the highest level.

Good luck and enjoy the games!

Whether FC Delco or Juventus you'd probably be flighted similarly. Biggest differences will be 1) playing different teams up in Boston (not having to play a LI or local teams in your flight compared to high chance at FC Delco) and 2) an extra hour or so of drive time to avoid playing same teams again. Biggest complaint I hear from parents is going to some NJ or PA tournament and playing a LI/local team or 2 in their flight that they played that season or recent local tournament.

Either way, good luck and go enjoy the competition and games.

EC took down the misleading post but make no mistake, there was a post with ECNL logo and no mention of ECRL. Also, will EC allow current players to tryout for the ECRL team or will surf just be the
ECRLrepresentative?

Something is going on with Valencia, they have cancelled games and their players have been seen at every tryout thus far.

We keep entering tournaments and all we do is lose. Why are we wasting time in Boston?

Anyone who continues to claim that the Susa RL team is the best team at Susa can finally shut up after this weekends performance at the Massapequa tournament. Definitely not top flight teams by any means. Barely squeaked out a win against the Susa 4th team and lost in the finals to a very low end team. Glad to see them go. Can't wait to hear the excuses as usual

Finished dead last in a weak 2nd bracket and predictable minus goal differential. How will they spin this into a positive thing, ending the season on a low note? You'll see all these faces showing up at tryouts this upcoming week.

Could have easily stayed local and play Massapequa tournament and get the same result ( zero wins and last place).

This team is on the veege of breaking up. Sidelines are fragmenred and bickering is out of control. On top of this, they aren't even considered for a place on the ECNL team.

If that's true really does say a lot. DV7 is in 9th place out of 10 teams in D1 NYCSL.

Above DV7 are teams like UST, Eastern Soccer, Cold Spring Harbor, Rivertowns, LMFC, Brooklyn United and Stonybrook LGN.

I guess they found out what reality tastes like

That d1 is so watered down now. All the goods teams moved out of that division seasons ago, now play EDP 1 and 2. It's alot of "B" teams now, and weak "A" teams. So yes, for Susa Ecrl team to get beat by a 9th place team in that division says a lot about that RL team

Please stop posting about your teams "making it to the semis or finals". That just means ya'll lost and are trying to create a buzz around them.

Pretty big turnout at EM today. Say what you want but there's a shakeup and some new players want ECNL experience.

Doesn't change the fact that EM is still a bad team

The entire program is bad. Definitely not up to ECNL standards, so yea parents go for the experience on a losing team. That'll be a nice waste of an entire year. Go for it.

There were alot of kids at tryouts yesterday from all over, they see the ship sinking at EC, LISC and others so they went to see if EM is a good fit. Only time will tell. At 13 yrs old, it's time to go big or stay at a local team.

Unless any of those kids there yesterday are exceptional, they won't be placed on the ECNL team. The bet is EM will try to switch out the majority of or the entire RL team with tryout kids which I'm sure EM can't wait to do.

Are you serious? You think a kid would have to be exceptional to make the EM ECNL Boys 2010 team? Remember this post from back in April 26th?

"East Meadow U13 to U18

8 Wins (4 of the wins are from the 2007 age group)
48 Losses
9 Ties

How are parents still paying to play for this club? This is almost a 75% losing percentage among 6 age groups....crazy!"

I'm sure now the record is even worse!

It's way worse now. The ECRL is literally like an intramural team now

This club is at least a true ECNL, clubs like LISC and East Coast , Surf are not and still want to charge so much, participate in crappy leagues while being in 3rd divisions. How do they finish in tournaments???
