If you are going to move or at least try out, make sure it's an upward move. Don't fall for ECRL, IT IS NOT ECNL no matter what East Coast tells you.!!!!!

Ok EM parent. EC has never said they have ECNL. They include the RL logo on everything. The EM parents are so panicked over EC

Apparently they expect 6-8 New players on the 2010 ECNL roster @ EM. Should be a fun board to read the next few weeks when the Cuts are made. Lots of EM bashing coming soon.

Susa to EM ?? Do people really do that downgrade?? Didn’t EM lost to Susa Rl team and Tie their 2011 team . Sounds like EM needs more than 6-8 to show up . Sounds like they need 11 to replace everyone .

All the EM bashing didn't affect attendance at yesterdays tryouts. Players are looking for better competition, in a better league and play among talented girls.

So people would rather be just an ATM card to SUSA?? I wouldn't call any movement a downgrade. I don't see any of the clubs doing well but at least some clubs don't treat players as money machines. The Island is way too watered down and the parents buy the B.S.

Didn't look crowded to me. Not many "new" players there.

Don't be fooled by attendance number....98% of those at the tryout are already EM players that are required to try out.

EM doesn't have talented girls so these foolhardy parents are looking in the wrong places to get their kids the competitive soccer world. The EM coaching staff haven't done anything lately or produced any players that are any good to play D1 or national. The dude coaching this year(2010's) went to school to play baseball with all his prior team sitting in bottom place in the standings.

All players should be required to tryout, otherwise how will a team improve its roster? ? You''ll have the same clumb of uselessness without tryouts! That's how you know which clubs are serious and which are just about collecting money by not letting anyone leave the program---guarantee spot on the roster.

So where do you go?
Susa? Is that the only option?
Give us some other competitive clubs and academies where my money will be well spent...

If your daughter is a serious player, it's either EMSC, SUSA, Auburndale or LISC at this age group.

Simple:

If you are looking to have your child develop in the game of soccer and be amongst competitively minded players then trust in LISC. They've got the better coaches that will respect your kid and seen through each girl's development as if they were their own.
If you are looking to have your child play in a top league with some of the best in the country then go over to SUSA. They will attract the best so if your kid is not a shining star on any field she steps on then don't even bother to go there. They will take your money and your dream.
Waste your money at EMSC they can't match either of the above as far as quality training, competition, teams or coaching. At the end of the race they(and your kid) will come out dead last and be the bottom pick at showcases, tournaments and recruiting events.

EM has 1 or 2 girls that can go anywhere and immediately start on any roster at this age including SUSA. I know our club has been actively recruiting 1 for the last couple of years. The rest of that team needs a complete overhaul. There's only 1 true ECNL club on LI at this age and if those kids have any dreams of playing next level they need to move over ASAP.

That's your opinion which like mine, doesn't count for jack-sh-t! If you as a parent truly think SUSA has a monopoly on ALL the best players in LI, then you are sadly mistaken. If SUSA thought that, then why would they waste their time to have tryouts?
