So the poor child who cant afford to travel or pay for academies lose out even though they run circles around most privilege kids? How is the pay to play working for you? Only one that is benefitting is the clubs charging not the children. I'm sure I can find 20 kids in the inner city off the street to beat your Susa, Barca, Slammer, EMSC clubs first teams.

Welcome to the real world, yes poverty robs people of opportunity everyday. Isn't that why we all live in this country. Beter than living in a country where a soccer academy is the best opportunity out of the slums. Inner city, suburbs, country. 99.9% of these kids wont play soccer profsssionally. Teach your kids a trade better off

People have to work and support their families and there are alot of children being lost in this process. We need to create a LIVE FREE Academy like they have in Europe and South America so All children have a chance to go to school and also train all year long. This would create the best of the best. The ECNL, EDP, LIJSL will feed their very best players into this pool of players for NYCFC, RedBulls or Philly Union. Lets be honest ECNL without relegation is useless competition. We need these players to live together year round until this happens your just marketing for your club until the checks stop clearing. Nothing wrong with Marketing for your club but dont complain when you have 0 offers or only D3. Truth of the matter your kids team isnt that good and neither is your son there is a WHOLE wide world out there. Keep dreaming. Unlike those countries we have many sporting options and all of them, like everything else in america you pay to be a part of, unless you want the government cheese. Maybe we should add free healthcare, free housing, and lets give everything away for free to everyone. That will of course make it level for everyone and of course then the best of the best will come out in every sector of life. This boo hoo I have to pay for something I want mentality is a joke. Nothing is free and being the scholar you are, you must be aware it is a much higher added tax to the middle class who ends up paying the bills. research how long it takes to get an appointment and the quality of care in these countries also. don't have to "research it" have friends in Canada, germany, france, Japan and many other countries around the world that have one form or another of national healthcare. and most of their systems work a hell of a lot better than ours. and at what point did I say Free or ask for anything for free? no [****] it's gotta be paid for and no [****] the middle class will foot the bill for most of it because god forbid we raise taxes on the upper end of the tax bracket.
