BOTN has been told by a person inside of the SUSA Academy that Glenn Schneider has put SUSA up for sale.

As you may have read in posts a few weeks back where it was reported that SUSA will not be renewing it's rental agreement at the Lindenhurst Bubble (SUSA does not own the land the bubble sits on), and that the Hauppauge Indoor facility has been sold to a pharmaceutical company.

Now comes more information that the Smithtown building will become a pickleball facility, and two entities, Cedar Stars and Seacoast have made offers for the purchase of SUSA's facility, however BOTN has been told that both offers were rejected by Glenn.

BOTN was also told that Glenn's asking price, which we can't confirm, is 40 million dollars.

Rumors have been circulating for quite sometime about SUSA's owner, Glenn Schneider wanting to sell, but now with this information coming from inside it does appear to be credible.

Parents are aware something is going on and have their kids guest playing with other teams this weekend. They want out.

Why can't Barca buy them? They've wanted a facility since they came here. It would be perfect.

If not Barca hopefully some other European Club would be nice

But the reason they sold the Smithtown and Hauppauge facilities is because next winter Susa will have a Fulll Field sized bubble at Central Islip. It will be the biggest bubble on Long Island

The tournaments aren't adding any value to SUSA. With that facility and they can't get quality teams to attend the showcase.

Yeah, when I was told that price, I didn't think and don't think it is accurate, but knowing Glenn as I do, it is possible. I know that years ago, Grossman quoted EDP (according to Steve Shilling) a sale price of 10 million.

What is he valuing the club at? The facility can't be worth more then $10m, right?

all we see on these boards is the repeated bashing of every club on LI. I am the first to agree with you that the parents are major contributors to the cesspool that has become youth soccer, but please let us know where we should be having our children play?

The problem of pay to play and the monetization of youth soccer is not unique to our tiny island. US soccer is in shambles right now and how can we expect the lower levels of our "developmental" pyramid to operate properly when we have the highest levels operating within the same drama filled scenario that exemplifies a typical weekend day on our youth soccer complexes? There is no magic wand to fix this.

If your child is happy where they are playing and they are treated well by their coach (pay attention to that point parents) sit back and enjoy the ride. It will be over before you know it, and maybe you will get to extend your season ticket holder status beyond their high school years...

Do you get JR included or does he cost extra?

Its not every club on Long Island that is being bashed, just the ones that have a higher volume of BAD. I also dont agree that the parents are the proximate cause for all this or as you state are major contributors. The root of all evil here is the $$ and the adults involved chasing the dollars at all costs. Do I think there are many crazy parents out there? Sure do, but the product is flawed from the ground up and that is 100% on the adults at these academies and the system in the United States being very much broken.

You do give good advise regarding the only things that matter is your child being happy and having a good coach.

I would pay for the land less the expense of replacing SUSA name on ALL the fields! If someone pays over the cost of the land your a sucker!

Susa largest club on Long Island they’ll fit any child with a jersey and place them on a team at
their appropriate level. Of course as long as their check clears. Susa gets a bad wrap about training and taking credit for players they had for short times but so does these other clubs. It’s called marketing. There are a lot of Susa koolaid drinkers but it’s their money. Susa is trying to do things right.

It's been said before, SUSA is not the only team that does this. BARCA, Valencia & EastCoast are known for NEVER turning any player away, they just make another low level team and collect the money.

Susa set themselves apart from every other club, by keeping customers money during the pandemic, while at the same time collecting the government, PPP handout. They actually made money from the pandemic, and that's what makes them the worst on Long Island… In addition to the terrible training and club culture.

Susa's website has really been striped down, very secretive. No more team counts. no more listing of the revolving door of low level trainers. I dont think they want parents to be able to do the math and figure out how many millions of dollars they are making a year on the backs of LI ATMS

Why doesn't SUSA list all their coaches on their website?

I would like to know why before I make my offer...
