What do you know about my son ? What do you know about his future ? What do you know about the school he choose ? You sound like Yo Larry. Here is the answer to my questions. Nothing !!! Worry about your kid , mine is doing great.

Susa largest club on Long Island they’ll fit any child with a jersey and place them on a team at their appropriate level. Of course as long as their check clears. Susa gets a bad wrap about training and taking credit for players they had for short times but so does these other clubs. It’s called marketing. There are a lot of Susa koolaid drinkers but it’s their money. Susa is trying to do things right.

Do any of you folks know the difference between D1, D2, and D3?
Do you know why a D1 school is considered better by parents posting here than a D3 school?
Do you know if the designation of D1, D2, and D3 has anything to do with the academic quality and academic ranking of the college or university?

The time and money spent is the family’s choice. My son plays at SUSA and has gotta tons of help with his college process. He will be committed soon , why you care about how people spend their money Is the real question. We have made great friends and have many memories of the years on a soccer field. My son will now go on and play college soccer Which we will attend as many games as possible. I think you should worry about your kid and stop hating what others do for their child. Soccer on Long Island at a top level cost money. Even if he is a top player and gets help from a club , you have travel and hotels and tournaments and hanging with people drinking and eating. It’s all a choice , my son could have played top level Lacrosse and the money to play is higher. I have friends who kids play hockey and forget about that price.Have you ever priced out a drum set or a Violin ?? It all comes down to we do for our kids , I’m sorry what I do brothers you so much . But the time with my boy on the field and at tournaments is priceless. So I work a little harder and I provide him a great experience. I hope you do the same with your kid. Live and let live. Yo parent, college isn’t picked because your kid can play soccer there. You pick a college for academics. And looking at the list of colleges that players at Susa are attending ain’t worth the money that you’re spending. Maybe it’s OK for your kid to go to a school that ranks in the 200s it clearly wasn’t for me And people I associate with which find all of those schools totally unacceptable that we see listed by Susa and social media. You may think it’s worth the money, and I guess it’s yours to piss away, it would’ve been better spent being put into a college fund and to see that your kid could get better grades, and you would be advocating for the academics and not shilling for Susa. Larry , all due respect but you don’t know my son or his grades. He will go to a good school. The school of his choice , he will play on a solid team and he will advance his academics , it’s his choice and I will be able to make that happen. His future is laid out and his plan is in motion. His plan !! His choice !! You had your kids go to the school they wanted to go to and that’s great. Not everyone wants to be in a Ivy League school , even though my son had his choice. I know you are the know all guy who talks about everyone’s choice , but it’s their choice. We have also had a college fund for him since the week he was born , so again I am able to send him anywhere he wants to go , but also again. His choice. Live and let live. It's more about SUSA and other clubs selling false promises. It is your choice to do what you want, but to stick up for a club that recruits players making promises of high level training and college opportunity. SUSA offers neither, the college commitment list is lower then other clubs that cost a fraction. Just curious why would you want your kid to go to a lesser academic school. How does that help his future plans? All clubs promise great things - my son was going to be on the USMNT! Go in eyes wide open

BARCA, Valencia & EastCoast are known for NEVER turning any player away, they just make another low level team and collect the money.

Thoughts on transfer portal and Covid is still affecting college rosters and recruitment Not at all! To take advantage of the extra year the player needs to be in a graduate program. Kids always transferred, the portal just keeps the process organized and supposed to help with compliance. The last 2 years were big years for college commitments on LI. Looks like this year is just not as much talent as previous few years.
