Nobody's saying anything about the HR woman who called them colored sounds racist to me

The cream always rises to the top in all sports (Soccer, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Hockey, Golf)

This is the reason why the only USWNT soccer athlete that’s of any recognition coming out of Long Island-Ms Dunn voiced her concern of fckkkin racism in youth soccer. You are the very people that make it difficult for us to produce any talent. Reminds me of 4 legs good 2 legs bad scenario in a popular children’s novel. It’s fine though. Keep the little black kids out of the sport so the white kids can get a free ride and go to a lowly tier college. Suppress the black kids that have talent so they think they are not good enough(how is that for a mindfcuk). No wonder we could never produce the talent, you’ve nipped it at the bud so no little black kid can have a fair shot. Just lovely. HR take note…Long Island white folks still think they are the slave masters.
It is a fact that EM teams every single one has black and minority kids that left for another club because they were not welcome. Other clubs accepted them and they are showing tremendous potential(LISC).
But the problem stems beyond stupid EM. RM and MC are only in it for their self worth. But that is the same with the SUSA folks except they haven’t been labeled as a racist all white club. I’m just appalled at the level of ignorance on this site on an issue that’s been published as a factor preventing our young athletes from moving forward. SMH.

All races have the poor, that's really the issue and unless you have a free academy program fully funded what is the answer? Add youth soccer payments to the welfare programs along with food an housing.

Here's a solution for the Holier than thou and extremely generous with other people's hard earned money personnel. Next time EM plans for an out of state tournament that includes a water park, we'll reach out to you for your credit card information so you can pay for the 1k+ weekend getaway for all minorities in the club, sounds good?

Here is a FACT. The only color that matters to not only EM but every so called “soccer academy” is GREEN! That’s right, it’s all about $$$$$$$$.

Show them a talentless black, white, hispanic, or albino who can write a check to them and they’ll give you the uniform link.

This is obvious with clubs that have more than two teams in the same age group.

Poor little Raurai McGuinness. He wants to be a big shot and rule with fear like JR, and all he does is lose kids to Susa. Sad.

They’re both a$$holes but one (RM) has actually proven to develop players from an early age while the other has not. JR didn’t develop a single 08 player and everyone knows that, just ask any SUSA parent. JR promotes a fear culture and does not recognize talent, some of which is right in front of him as he favors certain girls regardless of their performance. The parents on that team are more in competition with each other than the players themselves. But, they are the more talented (as a team) than EM or LISC.

Question for all. I have a 5th grade girl playing soccer and lacrosse in Nassau and she has been playing both since Kindergarten. There seems to be an abundance of soccer teams on Long Island. LIJSL claims boatloads of teams. Then there is Susa, EM and others. many towns seem to have 2-3 teams per age group minimum. Soccer also seems pretty accessible to all communities on Long Island (one would think more teams hence more competition and better players going to next level). Girls lacrosse not as many teams. Some towns have zero to 1 teams for PAL. It’s mostly travel with a handful of clubs on Long Island having competitive teams. When it comes to college commitments seems like Girl lax players on Long Island seem to be committing (historically and today) to better and in more amounts to top tier colleges Ivy League, Big 10. ACC etc where as soccer not so much (actually seems pretty minimal) just look at any major D1 college rosters for both sports. Curious why Long Island girls soccer does not get any traction. At this point considering lacrosse only give the financial and time commitment on the horizon

What you are saying is 100% correct. You have to remember that lacrosse has been traditionally a northeast sport. For years the lax landscape was was dominated by kids from NY, CT & MD where soccer is more of a national sport. There are more soccer players across the country then there are lacrosse players so the competition for soccer scholarships is a lot higher. As lacrosse gains popularity nation wide I would expect the competition for lacrosse scholarships to increase. Only time will tell.

While skiing this weekend, I noticed that ski resorts are also racist. It's horrible, how are resorts permitted to operate with such obvious bias? The handful of "diverse" children were clearly deprived of the best ski equipment, none had Moncler or Canada goose to keep them warm. Oh the humanity!!!!

With soccer, players locally, where we do not have any quality trainers or academies, are not only competing with others at least regionally, they are also competing with foreign players. Lacrosse does not have that issue, and Long Island and Maryland do have quality LAX clubs. On the whole, LI LAX trumps LI soccer when it comes to scholarship money and the academic quality of the educational institution.

Appreciate your feedback.. think we’ll just stick to the town travel and School soccer team to keep active and pursue lacrosse a bit more seriously. thanks and good luck.

What Larry said above is also true. The colleges most of the better players are going to "hopefully play at" are not solid academically more times than not. The alleged academies are so busy competing with each other and poaching that they stopped developing some years back. Its all business and the kids going to a good school is not part of the academies business plan. They say it is but that is not the case on many levels. They just want the paying customer and what happens after high school makes no difference to them. These top teams are not fielding the best players who know how to play this sport. They are so busy making business deals that it just becomes moving 'kids" from this team to that team. Look at how many of the better players transfer out from the schools that are good academically and for soccer because the kid did came from Long Island and was taught the wrong ways of playing this team sport.

I guess EM heard about this thread. They just posted about how diverse they are.
