SUSA has become a big, big youth soccer business on Long Island, in fact stating in writing that they are one of the largest soccer academies in New York, and to that point, BOTN feels with the 20,000+ posts regarding SUSA, their owners, coaches, trainers, methods, conduct, and cost, that it would be beneficial to the local soccer community to have a dedicated space to chat about SUSA, hence we have begun consolidating posted threads where SUSA is the subject and have added them to this dedicated forum.

As posted quite a while ago in response to a users query, BOTN had to sever its relationship with SUSA in August, 2021. The main reasons were the repetitive posted comments from many BOTN users questioning the quality of SUSA programs, costs involved, questionable/failed promises, and the behavior of certain coaches and trainers towards the players.

At that time, August, 2021, BOTN could no longer look past these parental/poster concerns or acquiesce to deleting negative user comments .

While SUSA does bring assets it also has created, in our opinion, some very damaging effects on too many town based, not-for-profit clubs, the ENYYSA, and other for-profit youth soccer businesses.

The flag that SUSA holds up high is ECNL. I wonder if the ECNL truly knows what is going on here and if they do, do they care? ECNL will not add any new ECNL clubs on the Island, but they can replace them. It is also fair to say that the Island’s other ECNL club is also being hammered on BOTN denigrating the ECNL brand, something BOTN doesn’t believe is welcome at ECNL.

Character is another issue that seems to be dismissed at SUSA. Kozy, Hargraves, & JR are cited as examples, but there appear to be others.

I wonder how many of you know that it was Kurt Kelley at KK Athletics that sponsored Moussa Sy for citizenship and employed him and made sure Moussa was firmly established in our country only to have Moussa quietly form SUSA and take players from KK, and let’s not forget how it appeared that SUSA tried to damage KK by pulling Danny Kravitsky away from KK along with the players Danny poached out KK. SUSA, after buying up ISA, Fury, and PRSS, tried according to others to buy KK & Atletico FC, but there was no interest on KK’s side.

Baffling to me is how parents buy into this crap especially that SUSA will get your kid into college. You don't need any soccer program to get your kid into college. YOUR KID NEEDS GRADES, and a desire and willingness to want a pathway to a successful academic career.

What does this mean to you the end user, the player and paying parent?

It is for these and other reasons that will come to light as this forum is open to anyone with their thoughts and comments regarding their experiences of the SUSA organization, management, and personnel. Yes, BOTN is more than aware that Moussa Sy and others at SUSA have told their parents not to comment on BOTN. I addressed this with Moussa several times. Seems to me that parents relinquish their first amendment rights when they affiliate with SUSA!!

Meanwhile, ENYYSA and LIJSL will have to get some new young blood on their board and committees, be more creative and more overt in their marketing if they want to return to be top dog on Long Island as the millionaire business owners of SUSA, EDP & NYCSL's path continues grooming ENYYSA & LIJSL as their bitches.

Patience, my boy, patience. I don’t think it’s going to stay boring for very much longer.

KK Athletico is truly a Susa wannabe and fits the description of everything you stated about Susa.

Neither is a place for a child to be. It’s a place for parents who want their children to be players they are not.
Both Susa and KK as well as the parents lie to themselves and do nothing for the children they pretend to care about.

From Illinois here. We have never heard of SUSA. We know the MLS academies, and the MLS Next academies like PDA, Boston Bolts, FC Delco, Bayside etc. So I think parents who think that this club is so great, I think it's much ado about nothing.

The last thing that KK wants to be is SUSA! Had that been true, he would have joined them.

It must really burn Glen's ass that his good players all come to KK for training! Guess KK is doing something right.

Oh, and it's ATLETICO!
