Now its a tournament? Or is this another off shoot-

Nowhere does it say "tournament " in the video. Good concept but the thread title is misleading.

I agree that it is confusing as I have heard it called both..a tournament and a league.

Rather than get caught up on semantics, it is the end result of what this program, (which BTW I'm told is being rolled out to every State Association) is get your team moved into and/or qualify your team for the National League.

Are teams expected to leave their current ENYYSA league to compete in this "Qualifier" or is it intended to be a supplemental competition?

It is intended to be additional play. Please continue to compete in your leagues.

Great. We already don't have enough refs to go around, especially in the spring. Lets add another competition to the mix.

So these teams are all going to be playing double games each weekend? 8-9 in their league play and another 8-9 in a qualifying league where the games could be 2 hrs away? Someone didn't think this out, scheduling will be a nightmare and so much for USYS's training to game ratio lol. But hey, it's another league, more games, and all the $$ that goes into that so someone's making the money! Keep chasing the carrot or better yet just join a proven club that already plays in the NL!
