Any changes and surprises in this age group so far for the season?

None. SUSA dominant. EMSC still last, but better than all the other Long Island 09 teams sadly.

Chatter seems to be due the usual movement to 1 of those 2 teams. Maybe something will come soon to shake up this age group. Thread has been boring.

Excuse you, East Meadow is not in last place. EMSC is a great club and the G2009 team is the best in the area. Everyone that left and moved on is the best thing for the girls. Families will always do what is best for their kids and if EM is not that place then leave and go elsewhere to become someone else's problem. Take note, every family that leaves, there are 4 more waiting to get their daughter into the club. It will be never ending rotation in this age for the next year to 2.

EMSC 09 TEAM AVERAGE AT BEST.

False-7th place. Beating FC Stars White with a 5 goal difference. The EMSC DOC is on the board of ECNL and being a founding club-will always be a magnet for talent. Placing 7th or 8th does not matter as EM will always have an overloaded roster in the ECNL.

Pop quiz. Anyone know where EMSC ECNL stands in the SUSA tournament this weekend? Are they even planning to show up tomorrow? Heard they’ve been stepped on by a lowly GA team and a new Elite 64 team. What’s next on their list of clubs to drop points against- D1 LIJSL?

This problem is not new. This has been an ongoing problem since forever. I recall years ago when the tournaments in Virginia had Long Island teams playing Long Island teams, and those teams were pissed, and rightly so.

If this is what happened as you’re reporting it I don’t like it, and I would let the tournament people know I won’t be back next year.

s EMSC imploding? Their ECNL team played in SUSA tournament and did not do well. Came in last out of 12 teams, beaten by GA and other small non ECNL clubs. ECRL team went down to MD to play in the discovery cup and left there this morning after a 7-0 whipping. Maybe Rarui is not in the game to win? Why even register a tournament that far away from home if you are not capable. Could have stayed closer to home and still get exposed. Just goes to show you East Meadow really doesn’t have any idea of what they are doing. ECNL insignia is a waste. Should go to someone else capable of developing and keeping talent. SUSA shouldn’t be the only shop in town.

EMSC is unfortunately at joke RM and JG are laughing all way to bank. They play favorites over best players ( look at 07 ECNL team). There is no coordination between ECNL ECRL teams. No plan, no goals except take your monthly payments.
Look at the results on girls side U19 through U12 embarrassing.
It's a pity that the board is too weak to do what needs to be done.

Field of Dreams-East Meadow tomorrow morning. PAIN will be the home team constantly picking up the ball from inside the net, that the keeper's job isn't it. SUSA's coach is offering an incentive for the players that score within the first 10 minutes of the game. EM has 1 girl that played her heart and soul last game, only to get shut out 6-0. She verbally committed to moving over to SUSA for the next year, heard she has other siblings as well that might be considered.

What happened at EM Field Of Dreams yesterday?

Ruairi and Gary had a clinic on FOD on Saturday with their specially chosen ECNL teams. Disappointed the high school aged teams aren't on the schedule yet as it would have reinforced EM's success at developing top players in Long Island(that was totally a joke).

The famous 2010 team that GS hand-picked from his studio in Lindenhurst gave a show on how to defend and keep the ball in your half while supporting your GKs. Wait I should point out, that's been the common thread amongst all these East Meadow teams-they are built around kids farmed in his studio. Then RM takes these kids and spoils them before handing them over to someone else for the beating.

That being the source of misery doesn't show any inkling of selecting Elite players that can compete at the top level is only going to boil over until the best players leave to go to the next best club at the ECNL-SUSA. Revolving over and over season after season, until parents start seeing through there game.
Just to reinforce, the day started off with 13 goals shut out for the 2010 ECNL.

Ever wondered why LM left the 2010 team to go to SUSA? Even after RM showed special interest making sure she was playing at the highest level and representing EM as his latest poster child. But wait, it's not the outcome as the would say to parents to brainwash you to believe there is a development plan in place for your kid. Kids come and go, but sign up and pay extra for their elite clinics only designed to take your kid up to the next level. You've just empowered them to set up the next set of kids and parents into believing they have a special talented child.

When they are not any better than a regular soccer player at this age playing for their town. But kids will come, kids will go-ECNL for only the Elite players is being used to get them rich. SUSA really the only ECNL team in Long Island with players operating at that level from 2010 up to high school ages.

Just ask every player that left and came across to SUSA over the years. There have been a lot, they have been the best players and they are all guaranteed to be playing in ECNL Championships at the top brackets with the best players in their age groups in the country. After spending all that money in travel at EM to go the ECNL games and showcases for the year its heartbreaking to know your kid will never compete at the highest level-as much as they (EMSC) will keep trying to make you believe.
Just like sheep.

The day didn't fare well for the other age groups as well. SUSA should be banned from playing EM in the ECNL.

If the Girls' teams give you this much angst for you to write a book on, wait until the Boys ECNL teams in action. 13 to zero score is a day in the office at East Meadow. How they still play in the ECNL is anybody's guess. They are that bad and to your point above only the ignorant parents will believe the score doesn't matter thing they keep saying. I am sure the other teams are telling their kids the very same message. "The score doesn't count! Apologies for EMSC, they aren't supposed to be here but somehow are still in the league. Next game, we will let the bench players start so they can get the experience under their belt. Feel take the day off if you would like." Uncompetitive, unprofessional and a total waste of time and money.
