New to youth soccer, trying to figure out how everything works, too many acronyms. Do the division colors have anything to do with the level of the teams or is it just a way to randomly make the divisions?

Here is the quote from the WYSL....

We use the colors to determine the different levels. We don’t want to emphasize standings at the younger age groups.

My guess is that the order is how they are listed. LIJSL lists them alphabetically, however WYSL doesn't, which leads me to believe they are ordered as listed.
