To refine your unfair list.
-Any good trainer should be able to run sessions geared to challenging their teams. That’s an expectation at that level. Look at other trainers at other clubs camps/clinics and you will see very little difference.

-The 2nd point is a direct reflection of their efforts to screen, identify and recruit talent. They have been blinded to the point where they cannot see beyond what is in front of them. Talented players with high potential usually end up going to other clubs where they shine and turn into top players. That is development. Very rarely will they identify with lower team players who’s got the capability to rise to the top. That usually happens years after at a team in another club to their detriment.

So can I blame them, absolutely. Ruairi refused to invite a player back because her parents questioned his motives throughout the season. Cartier jumped in and sided with his coach. So yes this fish stinks at the head. Another club gladly picked her up and I am sure she is getting the attention she needs to grow. His idea of building a team is to pull girls from elsewhere to fit the jigsaw, while focusing on 2 players. Losing droves of girls at what price. Just to start over the recruiting cycle again. Think about it, season already started who can he possibly get to try out at this point. Desperation move to throw an ID session mid-season. While he claims he does not beg anyone-this smells exactly like that. Desperation is having to depend on players from your younger age groups to fill a team sheet to compete in ECNL. Desperation is when you are asking kids you refused in tryouts to play for you. In a nutshell, they are losing talent because he is satisfying some innate urge to see just what is in front of him. Everyone else with potential on the 1st team or otherwise are ignored and usually end up elsewhere. As a matter of fact he has stated that. So many issues, zero development, no real club feeling, no plan for improvement and clueless as to how this practice impacts all the soccer clubs like a sickness.

Agree on everything you added, well said!

Yup. It looked like their forwards didn’t understand the concept of offsides. They had at least a dozen on 1st half alone. Wasted some good opportunities. Mostly the same 2 players, over and over. Embarrassing actually, but hey we will take it.

Also embarrassing you use the term offsides. It’s offside, but hey, we will take it

What if there were two kids who were both offside on the same play? Maybe that would qualify as offsides?

Sounds like some pissed Susa goalkeeper parent or defenders parents. Lets be honest either no one from PDA is on here and as crazy as the EM parents are they are not driving to jersey. So either a parent on the team complaining to someone they know or someone on the Susa team writing this.

What would change when you replace one coach with a napolean complex with a sleazeball p.o.s? I feel bad for these young ladies who are at clubs with little to no female presence.

Never happening. Heard that Cartiee is profiting off all the tournaments and clinics that RM is responsible for running at EM. With kickbacks like that there is no chance RM is getting replaced.

Besides SUSA ECNL team, the rest of the Long Island top teams had awful weekends. Surf didn't score in all 3 games, but everyone writing what good training they have. Must think highly of themselves because they should be in the bottom bracket. SUSA RL 2 losses and a tie, wondering why they travel almost every weekend when some town teams can beat them. East Meadow ECNL and RL = garbage performances.

Surf “Academy” team does not look good. Having a handful of 09’ girls playing up is not working. There B team Probably would not have won at the East Islip tournament.

RVC and the Slammers finished well this weekend. Both teams finished ahead of PSA North, PDA, Auburndale and EMSC ECRL.

Rvc team will break by year, delusional parents think their daughter is too good for town soccer and will leave. This town league has fallen apart and cant keep team together look at the 2006 & 2007 teams that don’t exist anymore. They also can keep their boys teams together either. Obnoxious parents drinking the cool aid, sad!

They won’t break. In fact they are only going to get stronger next year.

They are not staying together, Its too bad but never happens. Players want more. 2008 is in middle school. Just look at the RVC track record and where the other teams end up. Together and decent until sophomore year of high school. Then the players and parents want more exposure. Showcases, better leagues, more tournaments than all the RVC parents are willing to do, better coaching, not just paid trainers but dedicated coaches. They leave the town. Each age groups parents think they are different and will stay together but it has been happening every year

Happened to both my older son and daughters teams. The parent coaches are just not getting where the top players want to be and once a few go its over.

It’s time for EM parents to take their daughters out of EM and join LISC in this age group.

A lot of parents here don't know how to respect opponents, which is a number one thing to keep in mind in sports or others. I feel really bad for their kids to have such parents. Yes you win the games, you are the number one club now but so what? Did you really teach your kids?
