Albertson SC Families,

By now, you may have heard the news about the very serious allegations of misconduct made against Paul Riley by some of the professional soccer players he has coached in the past. While he has not been an employee or affiliated with the Albertson Soccer Club for quite some time, we regard these allegations with the utmost seriousness. We are committed to creating a safe, positive and respectful environment within our club, across the league, and for this great sport. We support and commend the women that had the courage to come forward and share their stories.

The Albertson Soccer Club encourage players, staff, parents etc. to bring any sort of inappropriate behavior to our attention and the attention of the proper authorities. If any parent or player of our program has any concerns, we encourage you to contact our Operations Manager Robin Lee, or as previously stated, the proper authorities.

We are here to support our Albertson families and maintain the highest professional standards of conduct throughout our organization.

Is Albertson speaking for Susa also since you are partners?

I'm going to answer this and say a big NO. Albertson SC is very concerned and didn't see this coming. Good for them for making a public statement.
I strongly suggest that those of you who have made numerous allegations against the Fury coaches and Riley come forth and speak to the Albertson club.

As far as the partnership goes I did get the 411 on it, and while I cant share what was told to me, let's just say sometimes ya gotta do whatcha gotta do!!

IMO, susa cant make a statement where they feign innocence, or concern, nor claiming they have a clean house until at the very least they address JR Balzarini. The problem the susa and ECNL community have is that JR can say anything , give any reason, offer up any excuse and it can't be challenged. The school district isn't going to say why unless JR documents that he authorized the district to make his personnel file open for inspection.

Do you see JR doing that?

Larry, please, what a load of crap. Everyone at Albertson SC knows first and foremost that Riley when he left to move to NC he was being divorced by his wife because he cheated on her with someone in NC. They all know that Riley has recently become a father while living in NC.

The $1,000,000 question for Albertson SC to answer is back when Riley was coaching in Portland (2011,2012) and was first investigated for these allegations, did anyone on the Albertson SC Board know what was going on? Did they keep Riley on as Director of Coaching knowing he was being investigated by the NWSL for inappropriate relations/behavior? You telling me that Kevin K. Danny, Marcello, Skip and his other top trainers were unaware he was being investigated in Portland?

Remember Riley was famous for keeping Board Members children on the "top" teams even when they did not belong there so that he could keep the Board in his pockets.

We are being told parents of Albertson players who have made allegations against their coaches should now contact the hierarchy at Albertson SC? HAHA People who have been abused should contact the organization that hired and employed these child predators:

Demakis
Izzy
Riley

Riley was at Albertson for years unchecked. He ran Albertson. Larry has been calling him (Riley) out for years and no one listened.

No, but the league should demand he disclosed those documents to them immediately. If there is anything related to inappropriate behavior with a subordinate or a student he should be fired by SUSA and lose any license he has. The league needs to step up.

My lips to your ears...there is no way susa will send JR packing. First of all, they need every trainer they can find, and secondly, do you really think they will admit that they [****] up by hiring JR? JR also has too many friends at susa starting the Bayport SD superintendent, Tim Hearney. Now, that state ment begs the question why is a school district superintendent friendly and supportive of a defrocked questionable ex-teacher?

Ironic the same thing used to happen across in Bellmore at East Meadow Soccer Club. The two top coaches could've done anything they want so they can line their pockets. The crook of a president undeservedly got his and his friend's kids on the top teams. The coaching director and field superintendent used to lay it on a couple of the ladies on the board. And guess what all there kids were on top teams. Sickening practice at every turn.

This is still happening at EMSC. Someone should start investigating them as well.

All swept under the rug and looked the other way by the board. For fear of Riley. And he destroyed the club anyway out of greed by creating FC Fury and FC Albertson Fury. Look where all three c,ubs now. No one person (Riley) should ever yield that much power as DOC over a club.

He should be. A complete dirtbag. At least in his personal life….which is very intertwined with his soccer life because that is all he has.
