A parent whose child plays for Susa contacted me a few days back chastising me for saying, in essence, that he/she and/or her child was an ATM machine and wanted me to retract my statement and apologize.

The parent went on to say that she has influence within Susa and that she is going to tell them to sue me. I asked, “sue me for what?” The parent replied for lying and for not telling the truth.

Now, the parent did have a point. Anyone who states verbally a lie, especially a derogatory lie, and also puts it in writing is subject to be sued for libel and slander.

So, here I am openly admitting that I have both said and published that at a meeting with a Suffolk soccer club, where both Glen and Moussa were present in front of three club personnel, the president, and two trainers, that the statement of Glen Schneider was that he sees every player as an ATM machine was said.

I was told that the three club folks ended the meeting at that point. This information came to me from that club president and from a second source familiar with that meeting.

The only defense that I am aware of for libel and slander is the truth. Fast forward to today. and I have not received any comment on this statement from anyone except this anonymous person, but this person did get my attention, as I guess I got their attention.

Today, youth soccer has gotten out of hand as everyone can see the current fallout from Susa’s strong ally, Gary Grossman, coupled with the failed hardball game by EDP and Grossman, to try and control the lucrative Long Island youth soccer community.

To that end, ENYYSA has finally been awaken by the gut punch thrown by these guys and are rightfully taking charge to straighten out and cure this problem.

BOTN as a company, and me personally will not be bullied by any soccer mavens or companies. BOTN’s commentaries and posts are not for sale. While I was personally offended by Moussa and what he did to make me terminate our long standing relationship is inline with how he has treated others, walked over friends, stabbed them in the back on his quest for money and position when he came to America.

TRUTH!! Well Larry you may be corresponding with one of the married moms who slept with her daughters trainer Anthony Hergraves or the mom that threatened moussa and Glen with a lawsuit if they didn’t bring back That same trainer after he was suspended for throwing a ball at his player during a game last year. Complete trash some are! As some have posted here and many have left quietly because of the actions of the top people at Susa. I would be a big supporter of Susa but it’s impossible to ignore the facts of how they run things and how they hurt kids in the process. Disturbing that some of these ‘businessman’ have children. The amount of disappointing stories I have heard about the top brass and some of their ‘top’ trainers leaves me to be sure that this will never be a place for developing well rounded soccer players. Money, behind the scene agreements and favors is some of the ways they taint everything they do. Kids are $$’s not something they truly value.

Sad but glenn known as the “investor” it’s not surprising that he only sees or is concerned with the money. More would be interested in hearing what mousa did for you to sever ties

All this and much more is true. What finally broke our back and made our family leave was the 2021 Fix. Susa conspiring with Gary Grossman to fix the standings for U11 girls soccer is just sleazy. Susa lied several times in trying redirect what they did but the fact is they had the 2011 coach Anthony who is mentioned above, Mousa, and JR working with Grossman to fix the standings and then they all lied about it when parents challenged them. In fact, they went out of their way to speak poorly to people at East Meadow about families and the kids that left for EM. Classy!

That little deal did not go unnoticed by many…..and that nonsense and power trip that Susa was on with Grossman ain’t gonna happen with new league should Susa decide to join..
Of course with the deep pockets of sous chef they may go out and buy a fleet of five or six big touring buses and they can load their 459 teams into those buses every weekend and go to New Jersey and play all of their games in some EDP league. I just wonder how much they’ll charge the parents for the buses😜

So this justifies cheating another team out of a championship they won on the field? I fail to see the relevance of you question. Please elaborate.

Coming to America

Once upon a time, there was a man, Moussa Sy, that came to America from Africa to study at Dowling College and play soccer there on scholarship.

While at Dowling, Moussa met Kurt Kelley who agreed to mentor him and gave him some work. Kurt Kelley set him up with training opportunities and had him work in his indoor facility.

When it came time for Moussa to return back to Africa as his Visa was coming to an end, Kurt Kelley sponsored him to be able to stay in the US, gave him a car to drive, and helped him to stay in the U.S. to begin to make a life for himself. Kurt Kelley also helped Moussa's friends, Komi and Bouba to also make their way in the U.S. Moussa did go on to play for the Rough Riders.

How did Moussa repay Kurt Kelley? Moussa decided to go into business and compete against Kurt Kelley taking over the Lindenhurst Bubble from Kaz Gungor. It was there that he came in contact with a Dix Hills SC parent, Glen Schneider, a person with deep pockets.

Together with Moussa’s great reputation, and Glen Schneider’s money they proceed to build their youth soccer empire. No problem with doing that, but there is a problem with how they conducted themselves.

I think it was very nasty when Moussa raided KK and made Danny Kavitsky an offer he couldn’t refuse which included syphoning off from Kelley his teams and players and brought them Susa as a kind of dowery with the hopes of damaging KK and Atletico to the point where Susa would then take it all at a fire sale price.

BTW, someone needs to ask Larry what happened with Komi?

Google past lawsuits involving the owners for slippery conduct
Go back and and re-visit how they screwed teams with covid refunds
Go back and re-visit how susa installed a catch up payment when they were short on cash
go back and see how they double dip by sending their teams to their winter leagues and tournaments
go back and see how they use the C,D,E,F teams to fund the top teams
go back and see how they took on unsavory trainers
go back and see how most all of their talent has be acquired and not developed
and then add up how much you pay a year for mediocre soccer with a fancy kit!

Are you assuming that’s what asking for a “better” option means? I’ll wait….

Your options going forward is play susa or and local club/academy under the strict direction of ENYYSA, play in Westchester and US Club, play EDP and play in New Jersey, or play lacrosse.

You can also move off out of the area and go to a warmer climate where they play outdoors 12 months a year. Hey, why not follow Grossman down to Florida where I hear he is trying to run the same soccer con down there!

and then add up how much you pay a year for mediocre soccer with a fancy kit!

And the better option in eastern LI is……

Are you making the assumption that it is susa or nothing? You must love wallowing in [****].

Or play lacrosse 😂

I guess that all depends on what you are looking for and a realistic view of your Childs ability.

Are we really discussing spring season now? 6 months away? No one, not even you knows what's going to happen by then

Love him or hate him, the Chief Rocker knows his $h!t. The only guy around who ties his name to the facts. Wish more people had the cojones Larry does to call out BS.

It's nice to hear from the Bubble in Lindenhurst. I am glad you understand that unlike you my name stands by what I say. I know the truth hurts, but the pain isnt over yet. If you want to keep poking me with these childish pokes, I will continue. Fair fight is an oxymoron. The news is the news. Deal with it.

Sadly, the missing culprit in all of this are the foolish parents who continue to throw their money at all of these soccer "pros" who did little but teach the kids the same things that kids were being taught 20 years ago at their local clubs and by handful of upper-level soccer organizations that existed back then. The best kids ended up where they were supposed to be and the level of play was just fine for most. Larry is right but I would add that all of these professional trainers see the kids as ATM machines and if you want to stop all the BS that you complain about, pull all your kids from these organizations, bring them back to their local clubs that are run by members of a community who actually care about kids. Yes there will always be some issues with local clubs but as someone who has been deeply involved with youth soccer on LI for over 20 years I can tell you that it was a much better environment back then and the end results for the kids were better.
