Here is an update the status of the new State league which will commence this Spring.

ENYYSA continues to address ALL non-affiliated clubs and for profit academies to offer their input on the structure of this new venture, and have asked BOTN to continue to assist in this endeavor by inviting ALL interested non-affiliated academy clubs and teams seeking a high quality league where games can be played locally to a meeting regarding the new ENYYSA (Name TBD) League which will begin this Spring. Teams & clubs currently playing in ENYYSA member leagues seeking additional games to their league games are also invited to attend and offer input.

The meeting is scheduled to be held on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 7PM at the ENYYSA office in Garden City South.

Space is limited. Please forward your interest to participate to larry@backofthenet.com

FYI: BOTN has no interests or any influence in this league, and we are doing this to assist the community and the state association to get this train on the track.

I guess they can or they wouldn't do it. If not they can call it a Cup like your friend Grossman did smile. Does that make it better for you?

This meeting is primarily for clubs and academies that could not align with a league in ENYYSA to play their games.

What do you think Region 1, NERP, Presidents League, Colonial League, etc were?

An example of a team or club not aligned with an ENYYSA league would be the Rough Riders, LISC, Atletico, NYSC, Eastern FC, etc., and in essence could include any team or club that played NYCSL or entered the defunct NY Cup.

Susa has too many teams for ENYYSA to ignore, but SUSA better get used to playing by the same rules as everyone else. GG cashed the checks and looked the other way.

ENYYSA won't ignore susa, but they wont be susa's bitch the way Gary Grossman was. You are correct. They will and must follow the same rules as everyone else or they can play in New jersey or nowhere within eastern New York.

ENYYSA doesnt give a [****] how many teams they or anyone else has...

I believe you are correct. Jon Feinstein feels that Surf plays in the premier 1 0r 2 and club v club at EDP that Surf is above the upcoming league. I didn't know Surf was a top, top club. Besides Surf is only girls.

Surf is a "walk on" bring a fiend or two with you type of club. Yes very motivated parents. Yes motivated girls. But no, not great talent. NOthing wrong with this but just accept what you are another for profit looking to keep the gravy train rolling

I guess in all fairness every club only has so many teams to go around.

That is one problem with Surf. They go club v club which allows for no growth or meaningful competition. The club v club fails because it does not provide strong competition at each age. There needs to be divisions and promotions and relegations. Not all of the clubs will have strong teams at each age. Usually one strong team and just having the other ages will get you in.
Surf is losing players each day and although the parents that stay are enamored with the Surf brand, that from the west coast. NY Surf is just a name that was purchased and they have difficulty attrating girls to play at the young ages. Therefore the development is not there.

They are not a top club. Look at their young teams and how they play. They over charge and really do not produce. They need to stay premier so they can sell premier to the parents but that is D3 in reality. Overpriced and no production. Development is not happening. Doesnt look like they play well. Not a strong player on the girls side.

You left 3 games into the season? Where did you find another team to take you?
