I agree it is nonsense. ECNL is no different than every league out there right now. All about the money and most decisions made to favor the league's financial interests.

The race to no where. US has it so wrong with youth sports, especially this sport.

What would you have G11 do, play 2 years up, that’s nonsense at this age. Only other choice is to play pre-ECNL to get better competition. Doesn’t make sense to play on age or even year up locally as completion is not there.

ECNL (SUSA & EM) and the Girls Academy League (LISC) are superior competition to any local, even EDP type league. I've seen both, these are truly national leagues with many amazing teams. Yes, it's more $ and a lot more travel but the competition is excellent.

At this age yes. Once the teams are U13 EDP National league is a better league than GA. ECNL most competitive on girls side, BUT only Susa can hang in that league. The players on EMSC get nothing out of playing ECNL because they do not get the best players and the game is too fast for them. There is zero development at EMSC because they dont get the players to compete in ECNL. And the leagues dont cost more, the clubs just charge more because they feel like they can because parents like you see different letters and think it must be more expensive.

By far USYS National League is better than the Girls Academy. There are also many teams better than LISC 2010

Are there even any girls teams in the USYS league? If so, name a few local teams?

You know that NYCS is under USYS Northeast now right? All of those teams play USYS. This age is not in the GA. The LISC 2010 is playing USYS this season. Teams better than them are Susa G10, Susa Carolina, Sesa, Surf, Kosmos and Atletico. But they are right up there. Next year most of these teams will be competing in USYS Northeast National League. It should be a good one.

Disagree with your assessment of ALL but SUSA G10 being better than LISC but your are entitled to your opinion. The teams in the GA’s Northeast Conference have some great clubs, NEFC, South Shore Select, STA, Oakwood, and Seacoast. They GA is and will be WAY better than USYS Northeast.
