First year of HS aged ball for these players. Certainly gets a bit more real. Does not seem like a ton of movement between teams though.

What’s going on with the Pat Med team, thought they were a decent team but seem to be looking for players to play EDP, they lose some strong players ??

As the season starts-Good Luck to the soccer clubs representing LI. Start of a big year for these girls as they navigate the new challenges High School will bring as they juggle greater school work loads and the social pressures that come at this age.

The way things are looking there won’t be any fall high school ball. The new governor has made some remarks that indicate we are heading in that direction once again. I know my daughter is very excited about playing. Hopefully they can

Anyone's team playing this weekend at the EM tourneys?

Is there a problem with EDP. I do not see any listings in the schedule for our area. The north Atlantic only goes to u14 and regular EDP shows nothing for the NY area. Anyone know why?

Anyone's team playing this weekend at the EM tourneys? Tough age to field teams for September since most players are with their HS squads until Oct/Nov. U15 brackets are usually mostly 8th grade teams playing a year up since the freshmen aged kids are unavailable.

Is it too soon to start contacting schools? My daughter’s friends play for some big clubs and they’re using some type of recruiting platform which my daughter’s club doesn’t offer. I really didn’t think that it’d be necessary for freshmen students

I really didn’t think that it’d be necessary for freshmen students Never too early to get on a coach's radar, even if there are limitations on when the coach can contact your daughter directly. There are different recruiting restrictions for D1, D2, and D3, with D3 restrictions being the most relaxed. My 2007 son recently contacted 4 D3 coaches who are attending an upcoming showcase his team will play in, and 3 of the 4 responded to him directly. D1 coaches cannot have contact with a recruit until the end of their sophomore year, but it doesn't hurt to reach out to them anyway, introduce yourself, and invite them to watch you play if they are able.

Will LISC come to Susa showcase or will they stay avoiding local programs so they don’t get exposed?

Will LISC come to Susa showcase or will they stay avoiding local programs so they don’t get exposed? My guess would be that if LISC doesn’t go to the SUSA showcase it’s not because they are avoiding local programs, it’s because like quite a few teams that have confided in me and clubs they prefer not to support SUSA events.

Then other clubs including LISC should be hosting their own tournaments. And it goes without saying they’d have to pay the gotsoccer piper to make it appealing to clubs and parents that need the points.

Our 2007 coach just told us we are going to the Jefferson Cup next month in VA. Worth the trip?

Spin it however you want. They are avoiding Susa, plain and simple. They will eventually have to pay the piper at Delco. Unless they drop to lower brackets to avoid them which is what I am betting on...lol

Maybe they are avoiding the nightmare goalie dad on that SUSA 2007 team because he is like a black cloud and causes trouble everywhere he goes.

Problem dad is the dad of the back up goalie for the Susa 07 team. Starting goalie is a great kid and goalie.

Larry, per online LISC is looking for girls director position to fill. Did Meghan leave? No, Megan is the club Director. The girl's Director, Shannon Neely left for a college position, so they're hiring to fill Shannon's position.
