I have been reading what is going on the 2008 thread and can’t stay quiet. Jamie Gonzalez coaches my daughters 2006 ECRL team. He has been horrible from the start and plays only his favorites. Which by the way happen to train with him at his private facility on the side.
By the way we are always expected to help support Jamie private facility by going to “team bonding” events there.
We need to pay for these events out of our pocket! Why should we have to pay him side money to support his place? Why do we have to use our team money to pay for practice there in the winter? EM knows he is lining his pockets with parents money.
He has held back multiple players from moving to the ECNL 06 team who are qualified to do so(he also coaches the 2006 ECNL team). He does this to control the players.
My daughter has asked for an opportunity to moved up and he belittled her and told her she wasn’t a good enough. Without even giving her a chance he crushed her dreams. He has shattered her confidence on multiple occasions. He constantly yells negative things at all of the players.
People ask why we don’t leave them and I explain ECNL is her dream and we live to far from Suffolk. EM is like Harvey Weinstein they control the top league and you are at their mercy. Rarri knows what Jamie is but he is to afraid to do anything. Rarri is a small man and I have always felt that Jamie intimidates him.
Two weeks ago Jamie cursed the girls out saying they are F*cking Horrible and they are [****]. He just absolutely ridiculed them. This girls all play so hard and love the game how can he say that!
East Meadow Board did nothing he wrote a weak apology and has been back coaching the team!
This is a warning to others

This is a warning to others While I agree that Jaime is a problem long documented over many years on BOTN, you also are a horrible parent by allowing your daughter to be involved in that cesspool. Grow some balls and some brain cells and simply pull out. Your daughter and the others are not going anywhere in the soccer world, but they are going to get an education in male dominance. Do you want your girls and specifically your daughter to continue to be Jaime's bitch?

I feel bad for this parent but she needs to get out if she truly loves her daughter. Surf, LISC, and Susa are fine options
Everyone in Long Island soccer world has heard of how Jamie treats his players. My older daughter spent 1 year under him and she stopped playing soccer all together. It was sad to see. He crushed her spirit. If he is the DOC of ECRL that is a shame. East Meadow will never get rid of him they have multiple abusive coaches over there that keep getting teams year after year. Sad

Jamie actually came back to practice after dropping F Bombs on them and actually told the team, “ I am to high up at East Meadow to get in trouble”
Where is the East Meadow Board he should have been Fired! Thanks

Sad SUSA has it's problem with their trainers and coaches so I surely dont think that would be a move up, but more a lateral move. I think it will become more apparent in the days and weeks ahead, but let me not digress. I believe Surf has some excellent female coaches as does LISC, and if you're smart enough not to buy into this local (EM & SUSA) ECNL scam you will do your daughter a good service.

This is a warning to others Everything you wrote is how I feel everyday… My daughter is also on Jamie’s ECRL team. I do not have the words to describe how much I hate Jamie Gonzalez. How can you curse out a 14 year old girl? This is not the first time this has happened either. I asked my daughter she said the comment he said about him staying with the team because he is to important at EMSC is completely accurate. But EMSC is a private company so if they want to keep him someday and some day a parent takes legal action whatever but I’m from Farmingdale and his 1950’s style of male chauvinism and belittlement has gone to far. If I walked into my work and screamed profanity I would be out the door that day. He should step down from Farmingdale. This is disgraceful.

Wait Jaime Gonzalez is training the 08 ECNL? Anyone confirm this? If so Another group of girls will be ruined and in therapy. JG is bipolar and a complete monster. He doesn’t give a dam about his teams and only about his ego and $. Never let your kids roster with him. How do these parents tolerate his behavior? What is him promising? Whatever it is don’t fall for his crap. Why has EMSC let him continue to behave this way? JG will bring down that Club.

Why do parents think they need their kid to play for an alphabet soup league and pay big $ so that their kid can get the same experience at many of their local clubs.

I am so glad my daughter doesn’t play at East Meadow. Why doesn’t someone from the East Meadow board post on here to let us know that they understand there are issues and here are the steps we are taking to improve. To let this Jamie character act in such horrible ways without repercussions seems cowardly. If they come on here and at least explain that would help us to understand that someone is at the helm.

They can't and they won't. That would mean changing the way they have been operating. It will also mean admitting to being guilty of all that is being posted here and elsewhere on the other forums on the web about East Meadow. How can Cartier or Rizzi come on a public forum and admit to something that in their eyes is not an issue. Do you think their kids will ever be able to continue playing under the coaches being accused here? If EM were to bring in a new coach to take over, none of the boards kids will be able to make the team. So then that mean bye bye board and everyone else at the helm at East Meadow. So they won't come on here to admit any wrong doing and they can't because their kids will be kicked off the team.

Tryouts and pursuing new and current teams are right around the corner. It’s obvious that EMSC has bad seeds at the top of their training leadership. No one should enable despicable behavior like this: soccer community is very small - word travels fast, cursing at youths treating them poorly at any age is a disgrace. HS coach would be severely disciplined or fired. Having a history of this is at a high level is sad and infuriating. EMSC current performance on the field and lack of success speaks volumes with how bad it must be on those NL / RL teams. THE STANDINGS DONT LIE!

This is a warning to others While I am not a fan of Jamie G. you obviously are willing to support all his B.S. and terrible behavior by allowing your daughter to show up for practices and games. Stop waiting for others, be a PARENT and take action by removing your daughter from what appears to be a very bad environment for her. Are you more upset with Jamie "holding" back players including your daughter or is it really for his behavior? I get the feeling that you are they type of parent that would condone his horrible behavior as long as your daughter were on the ENCL ("A" team). And as far as the ECNL 06 team is concerned, they're 8th out of 9 teams so far this year, not exactly something to "dream" about joining. WAKE UP!!

Still to this day can't believe Farmingdale handed their entire girls program over to East Meadow to be the "B" ECRL teams to the East Meadow 'A' ECNL teams. We ran when it happened and have found a great club where my daughter has thrived the last 2 1/2 years. Farmingdale has great fields including the recently built extension to Allen Park. They should have told JG to have fun in East Meadow and given Farmingdale a chance to grow.

It’s the culture at LISC. That care about your kid and will find a place for any level of talent and give them all many opportunities to advance. EM they need you for their roster but as you pay your money they will replace your kid with the next one who comes along.

The truth is that its the top few players on each team that are prized , and the rest are expendable . The ECNL badge, like it or not, is a draw for players (and parents ) and there are no shortage of players to fill the rosters (see ECRL ).

The clubs that put the players first are the ones that does not classify a kid as expendable. Skill and talent level, there will always be a place for children at LISC. EM not soo much. Expendable and kids in any sport should never be used in the same sentence. That is another reason why EM is fielding poor ECNL and ECRL teams. And East Meadow has developed quite a reputation w/ many open spots on their rosters bcause noone wants to go there to play.

The point was that it is ubiquitous throughout youth soccer, and not only one specific club. The message was not meant to state it was acceptable on any level .

First time I’ve seen the word “ubiquitous” on here. I assume you’re kid is headed to Ivy League no matter what happens with soccer!
