Do any players get recruited from only playing HS soccer? Is it even possible with say just provate school?

if on a really bad high school team its not possible. you can't play 11 on 1. if no support at all the player isn't going to look good. same applies to the newsday list.

Sounds like it depends on the level that HS plays at. If you are at a private school that ehmpasises soccer and recruits club players thats a benefit but the school where we live has pretty much no club players just local travel kids. One or even two good players can't make up for 9 low level kids.

High school programs run the gamut. Coaches either run the program like an actual program and put together a varsity team full of the school's best players. Or coaches come in and run the varsity team like a day care center and whoever draws the nicest pictures gets to play.

Stay classy Bethpage parents. Might be difficult for you all. How about just try acting like adults?

What an incoherent sentence.

Definitely depends on the program but there is a balance. If your program gets too good and you have a squad of top club players then its impossible to find very many good games and all uou get is easy wins and blowouts like St Anyhonys has.

Without context, it does seem like a random rant.

Does anyone understand the scoring for standings in GVS? Why isn't a win 3 pts? It makes no sense.

It is very rare that kids get recruited from HS only. There was one girl I remember from I think it was Smithtown Christian 9-10 years ago when my daughter played and she was recruited to a D-1 school and didn't play club ball. You can go to HS State Championship games and you won't see college coaches there unless a player asked them to come.

It makes sense because if you have 4 pencils and 7 apples, how many pancakes will fit on a roof? Answer: Purple, because aliens don't wear hats!

Awesome...

In my day it was:

What's the difference between an orange?
A rabbit because his vest has no sleeves....

Yes it is if you are realistic about you talents and are willing to put in the work. Pick a few schools you are interested in and send an email to the coach to introduce yourself. You will need to put together a video of your highlights. Make sure to showcase your foot skills, defensive skills, positional awareness, passing and shooting. The video only need to be a few minutes long. College coaches are aware that the level of high school play varies from area to area. Be proactive and follow up. Always include a copy of your transcript, if possible. Most people don't want to believe this, but your grades are a very big factor in the recruitment process. Good Luck, I'm sure your daughter can find a place to play that suits her abilities and future life plans.
