Rumors going around about a Barca Academy referee incident in this age group? Anyone have details?

Crazy parent attacked the referee

Was the ASS arrested. He should be BANNED from attending any games FOREVER

The team should be UN-sanctioned and the club either fined or have to sit out the next 2 seasons....

Club should pay by being unsanctioned. Part of the reason a club is sanctioned is they are going to represent youth soccer correctly and have a safe positive environment for the game. Sanctioning should ensure that type of safety, thats what sanctioning is. An approved club that has passed “inspection”.

It was several parents according to people who were there. Barca should try to save face and suspend that team for the rest of the season.

Heard they spit in the referees face and were caught on camera, absolutely disgusting.

And you wonder why there is a shortage of refs ? It's getting worse and worse for refs, umpires, etc... I saw a video of an ump getting berated and if warned them. He gave the team a forfeit and walked off the field.

They spit on the ref? Please tell me that isn't true

Larry, they hit the ref on the field, how do we send you the video that the aurbendale parents recorded of the incident so that you could post in here for everyone to finally see?

These savages spit on a referee over a U11 game? Seriously?

If Auburndale folks have a video they need to send it to the league.If sent to Larry or any other media and they find it appropriate to publish it it may also create some reaction and pressure to seek justice.

Firstly, the Coach is responsible and could have received a red card for the parents. I would expect with such outrageous behavior that the referee wrote a detailed game report including a supplemental so that the league can then decide what the punishment will be. If anyone has video I’m sure they will be asked to provide it as evidence.

Most importantly this is assault which makes it a police matter and should have been reported immediately.
If there are a number people involved they can be charged.

For people that actually witnessed the incident did anyone at any point step in to de-escalate the situation?

We have a video on the incident, myself and a few parents from Aurbendale recorded the entire incident. We were told the Parent that hit the Ref was some guy named Hector who is an EX Corrections Officer.

Barca very much feels like two clubs. The girls side doesn't have the toxic parents and disgusting behavior you see on the boys side. It stains the entire club. Boys side coaches let them run wild even at training. The league was informed by police the B2011 coach was not cooperating when they arrived and would not identify the attackers even though he witnessed everything. That should tell you everything you need to know about the group.

Barca is not 2 clubs. You are just blind towards what is happening and the little mouse Spaniards or should I say Catalonia Men are taking another marketing scam to you all. The Mens side is struggling while the women pro side successfulasuccessfully all of a sudden now Barca cares about the girls side. So now they are finally promoting girls soccer on LI. Funny how the tide has turned. They have been here for more than 5 years and never once didn't they care about girls soccer until all of a sudden now. And another thing the Barca coach failed to stop anything on the b2011 game because the parents run him. No backbone fellow. Either way parents will be contacting Larry with the Video footage to expose the entire situation.

The ref did call the cops but the guy Hector ran away from the field before they got there. The coach of Barca refused to identify the parent that assaulted the reff. We of the parents from aurbendale know the Barca parent so he's not getting away with this.

Larry are you reaching out to Barca for a statement I'm regards to this scandals that took place on the field?

No. Do you really think they are going to make a statement? Assuming everything written about the incident is true, it is my opinion they are in deep [****] with the leagues, the refs, and very possibly law enforcement. If that guy, Hector clammed on a ref then that is punishable, and Barca should be giving statements to their lawyer and not me.

Meanwhile, where is the video that's supposed to be sent to me?

ENYYSA needs to sanction Barca and this team BAD! If they do not, then they are basically saying this behavior is OK. Huge $$ in fines and suspensions need to be issued. Also..... we have a major ref shortage and its only getting worse......

I dont think ENYYSA is going to get involved since Barca does not play under ENYYSA, but plays in EDP which is a New Jersey league sanctioned by USYSA. So, it is the soccer whores at EDP who would have to do something, and my money says they will do nada. No one throws out ATM machines.

Larry We want to send you the video but fear Aurbendale will get in trouble for it. What should we do? Plus the offender is an ex-correction officer who we hear is a nut and what if he goes after us next?

If I'm not worried why are you worried? No one will ever know who sent me the video. It is your call. if you send it I will post it and will never reveal who sent it to me. Why do you care about whether or not Auburndale will get into trouble? What did they do?

While I’m not sanctioning what the barca parent did and he should be punished for it but think people should also be considering why would someone even do that to the ref?? and whether there is some shady matters going on with the ref. There is a rumor the ref has some deep ties to the Aub kids and Aub had some "guest" players...

Separately why should the entire team be unsanctioned for one person behavior. Clearly some people here have bias towards having Barca drop out so they can move up…

In any case, barca parent should be face consequences...
