Right or wrong, USYSA is touting their Club v Club National League as their answer to ECNL. Now, BOTN has learned that 9 area clubs have been chosen to join the other Club v Club conferences.
The 9 invited clubs are Alleycats SC, Chelsea Piers Shoreline, NY Surf, Manhattan SC, Cedar Stars Bergen, FC Copa, NJ Premier, PSA and STA.
Clubs must have a 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, and 19U to participate. If any club cannot fulfill an age group, they will not be permitted to participate, and will need to stay in the team v team divisions. Clubs will not be able to use other clubs' teams in age groups to fill their spot, and the team must be from within your club..
In closing, this is only for the girls side.

BOTN has obtained the EDP sales pitch shared with various clubs to try and get them on board. Maybe I'm having a bit a deja vu, but this looks like NPL 2.0 and we all know how well that didn't work. The presentation can viewed and downloaded from the link below....

Hmm, seems interesting. Larry, they have some good clubs listed, do we know if they have all accepted Well, full disclosure here that this post and info was not supposed be made public. My understanding is that EDP is not at all happy that this info has been published. Of course, I really don't care since I don't answer to the soccer whores at EDP and that includes some guy named John Tait. Now to answer your question, it is my understand that EDP and USYSA is still trying to sell this program. While they are all good clubs the geography sucks. Princeton to the south and Albany to the north....that's a lot of miles. I also question whether the clubs can deliver the dictum of a high level team at all age groups. We all know how this model failed in our area with NPL and this doesn't look any difference to me. We will have to see if these clubs all accept or not. If your club would be interested (mistake IMO) they should contact Evan Unger at 914-715-2430 and make sure you tell Evan that Larry Miller suggested you call

LISC is GA, SESA wasn't interested, and East Coast are not anywhere near the quality of Surf and the others, and East Coast cant field quality teams in each age group. You must be with East Coast to even think they might be a viable choice.

Gives the local teams who are joining a good option to play the B and C teams from the clubs reflected in that pitch deck. Larry is right, NPL the sequel.

Wait till all the parents get wet about being part of this division, then miraculously aren't able to make the trip to Albany for a game. At least these are solid clubs with big player pools.

NPL started out strong, then it got weak as the years went on. This looks like NPL when it started

That’s a joke, some of those clubs have teams at age groups that aren’t even in the Premier 1 division or their teams that are struggle to finish in the top half. The problem with that and the NPL is that clubs end of sacrificing their weaker teams to just say they play in XX league, and after the team gets crushed long enough the players move on and it’s a constant cycle. It’s better leaving it as the teams that deserve being at the top are there, stop trying to force it on all the teams if they can’t perform. And yeah, the drive would be stupid long.

So the North Atlantic conference is basically an option for local clubs that can’t get accepted into ECNL or GA and nationally a place for the third teams from those fully established clubs?

Here are some facts about this: It's already happening in other parts of the country and doing well. Especially in Texas It is putting the top clubs in the area that aren't a part of GAL or ECNL together And it's clearly a better league then the current team v team set up
As long as EDP doesn't screw this up the way that Grossman screwed up NPL, then it may turn out ok

Don't you folks see what's happening? I know LIJSL doesn't. I dont think ENYYSA does and if they do they are impotent against EDP.

At what point is he phased out, didn't he essentially give up NYCSL to EDP? We'd all be better off if he just let go. But what's the alternative?
