This is a 2008 forum, what does the performance of other age groups have to do with ANY 08 team? What club does your kid play on?

Great Club

Here we go again with the Surf parent/coach posting results from non 08 teams. You obviously don't know how to read standings, how could the 06' LISC come in last place if a team in their bracket had fewer points and 2 teams in the other had fewer points? And with respect to the 05 team who had 1 point, 3 teams had ZERO points. Good results from your team, heard Surf won 1st place in the catch-the-wave competition in FLA, congrats Surfer-boy!

LISC's bad t

I don't think there a many (if any) LISC 08 GA parents who think the LISC team is at the top of the 08' LI soccer pyramid (SUSA-ECNL, EM-ECNL, LISC). To the people constantly bashing the 08 LISC GA team because of other LISC age groups' poor performance, where is the relevancy to the 2008 LISC GA team which have been doing quite well thus far? Prior to the Albertson/SUSA merger, the 08' SUSA team was hiding out in the Metropolitan league, so what development did the 2008 SUSA team do other than ACQUIRE players by virtue of having zero clubs in Suffolk County that offer the highest levels of play (ECNL or GA)? Until we organize together in Nassau and push the top players to tryout at one club, SUSA will have the advantage. There are plenty of parents who don't want to drive out to SUSA from Western Nassau, not worth it for 13 yr old soccer (even if their kid made the SUSA team). Good training and development is being offered for the girls at EM and LISC respectively in the 08 age group.

If you are going to take shots at Susa, at least have your information correct. The 08 Susa team played half a season in the METRO league in the fall of 2018. Let me say that again, THE FALL OF 2018. They then played up in 07 NPL for the spring of 2019. For the fall of 2019 they were playing PRE-ECNL before covid shut the world down in the spring of 2020. So there goes your bogus time line. If you want to complain about the Albertson acquisition, take it up with PR. The Albertson players never had a gun held to their heads when it came to choosing SUSA. EM and LISC were open for business. In addition, everyone b*tches about how awful the travel is to Suffolk county as if the roads only travel East????? What advantage do the eastern Suffolk players have with traveling to Western Nassau???? Only then it would be worth it for a 13 year old soccer right???

Go back to sleep, parent who's kid got cut from the top Susa team. You are embarrassing yourself.

I didn't take a shot at SUSA, I was merely trying to make a point that the SUSA 08 team was not considered a top team in the 08 age group until AFTER the merger. The top teams were Albertson, EM, Auburndale. I am not complaining about any merger, it's just business. Your missing the point I'm trying to make about travel, who wouldn't want to drive less than 10 mins. SUSA has no one to compete with in suffolk if you want to play ECNL & GA (to top 2 leagues). In Nassau, EM and LISC are competing for the same pool of players. Oh and by the way, i couldn't get cut since I never tried out, that goes for a ton of other players as well. SUSA parents (especially the non-starters) should pray that EM and LISC don't fold, because that's when we'll get in the car a TAKE OVER YOUR SPOTS!!

Hahahaha!!!!! Couple of things.

#1. You were not just making a point about the travel. You attempted, poorly I might add, to claim Susa was hiding in a lower division for the last 2.5 year's. Wrong.

#2 Susa was completely relevant the last 3 years making it to the state cup semifinals of better and outside of EM, which the contests went both ways, they played Albertson in finals situations which the games were decided by 1 goal in Albus favor and played Auburndale once and lost a one goal game. Not sure there was any dominance by any team. BYW somehow you forgot about WC who basically had everyone's number for a couple of years.

#3 There are plenty of player's from Suffolk county that travel to play with the Nassau Academy's and there were plenty of kids traveling from Nassau to play with Susa way before the Alby aquisition and waaay before the CI complex was built.

#4 Susa has no problem competing with whoever and wherever they are located. They are not just relegated to Suffolk county. So there goes your theory on Nassau fighting for the same player pool.

#5 Unless you are a 12/13 year old girl, you aren't trying out anywhere! LMFAO.

Lastly, there are 5... maybe 6 girls on the Island that would make the too Susa tJuneeam. Since you are so confident about you kid's ability, tryouts are May 18th and June 8th. Bring anyone and everyone you know. I garuentee you would get an RL acceptance....lol.

Once again, you have embarrassed yourself. So go kick rocks with all of that BS from earlier. I'll be here all night if you want to continue....😘

Relax SUSA soccer mom, your 08 team was irrelevant prior to the merger, losing to the little town clubs. You had 1 talented player prior to the merger. Thank those Alby players and the Auburndale girl which gives the appearance that SUSA was homegrown. Enjoy it, you are now a member of the #1 ECNL team in the conference, no one can argue with that. How does it feel when the girl from Alby (related to coach) or Auburndale player don't need to pay or come to practice?

Please stop comparing Surf to LISC, Surf beat LISC in every academy age group this year. Was so bad, that after the Surf 05 destroyed the LISC 05, three kids quit LISC on the spot! You have a nice little club LISC, just realize you are not in the big leagues and never will be

Not a Susa mom at all and I am very relaxed knowing there are misinformed pot stirring fools like you out there. You keep pushing the "home grown" issue. It holds no water for any club at this age or greater as players will continue to bounce around from here on out. The statistical standings are nice but the fact that the soccer is really improving and the team is gelling is the greater success story. Clearly you wouldn't understand that as your only motive is to come on here and take lousy and incorrect cheap shots...lol.

Oh BTW, I didn't realize DB had a relative on the team??? And wait! The Auburndale player doesn't pay tuition???? let me storm the Susa offices with this breaking story!! LMAO!! The discovery player comes to practice when there is no conflict and is at most of the games. That is and has been the deal since last summer. When the player is not there I am not worried in the least bit as there are 18 more top players to choose from. Man does it suck to have such a well rounded team from top to bottom. I am sure you know what that is like right? Of course you do, you and your army of Nassau County all-stars can just show up and take all of the current players spots....LMFAO!!! Please keep responding. I can pick you apart all day long.

Not talking about DB, since the word is he is head coach on paper only. All you need to do is go to one of your games and watch your DOC nonstop screaming at your players the whole game.

Was talking about Mussa and your new player. The one that totally bypassed try-outs and was added to the team recently. Mussa and the dad are long lost teammates... what a joke, all this talk about top team, and a kid just walks on without paying because of who her dad played soccer with. That has to be a problem for the players and parents who actually worked and earned their spot.

You really believe there is tons of turmoil on a team that's undefeated in ECNL play and just destroyed the other supposed top team on long island last weekend? I wonder how they will perform when everyone is happy!? lol

I am actually at all of the games. Are you? Ex Alby parent that got cut....lol. Your raging jealousy is actually comical. Not really concerned with what the parent's think as they are not the one's actually playing. From what I hear the girls get along with the new player. Your DOC screams during your games as well. Unless you are a LISC parent. Then I don't even know why I am wasting my time with you. Got anything else B team parent? And who is Mussa? LOL!!! Tag! You're it Nassau Rockstar!

More likely how they will perform when the turmoil results in key players going elsewhere...

Exactly. Just another irrelevant B team parent trying to create something that isn't there because they are still butt hurt that their kid got cut.

#1 SUSA did hide. Fall 2018 Metro in NYCSL, spring 2019 NPL 07. Who are you kidding?!? That is def hiding when the competition was not there. And how did the Fall 2019 work out for you in pre-ECNL?

#2 “Not sure there was any dominance by any team” LMFAO! That is because you were out of it. Im not an Alby parent, and it hurts me to say it, but they were the dominant team. Won the league every time, NY Cup (which is what you probably mean by state cup). SUSA now landed their top players, and all of a sudden is #1 and undefeated. EM and Auburndale were right there too.

#3 total bs. The susa top team had zero nassau players. None. Prob same for other age groups.

#4 you are totally missing the point here. Competing for player pool is not about being willing to play team from anywhere dummy. Is about training staff, is about practice location and driving 45 min to practice 3x a week. What the hell is the Nassau Academy btw!?

Lastly, why would I bother with try-outs? Just checking who I know, or who I played soccer with, since that appears to be all it takes to walk on that team for free. Thanks for paying my way while I take your spot. And if I dont know anyone why would I bring my kid and pay whatever susa costs if they will just add players based on connections?

You can come here with all the bravado that a #1 spot allows you to have, and congrats for that, but it looks like there are major issues with your current set up, and as they get worse what is there today will be gone tomorrow. Easy comes, easy goes. EM and LISC are right here waiting with a smile.

I wonder how they will perform when everyone is happy!? lol

More likely how they will perform when the turmoil results in key players going elsewhere...

Well since no one is actually going anywhere, we don't have to worry. Nice try...lol

I'll be here all night if you want to continue....😘[/quote]

Shhhhhhhh.....go away irrelevant B team parent. You are out of your league. Once again, May 18th and June 8the are the try outs. But you won't be there because your kid couldn't make the team in the first place....LMAO!!! Oh, and you seem to be the only one concerned with the standings of a league you aren't even in!!!! Jealousy at it's finest..... stick to the GA. That will be the plateau for you child. Won't see you around! LMFAO!!!

Why are you posting about Surf here when they are NON-EXISTENT in the 2008 age group on LI. Wake up fool, there is NO 08' SURF team, they all left last year and are playing at LISC on the GA team (top team).

If you want to crap on LISC's other age groups GO DIRECTLY TO THOSE FORUMS!

Am sure that SUSA and EM (maybe even LISC) will see some former Auburndale players show up for tryouts as this is their swan song season.

Auburndale kids will be at EM. That’s a good fit for them.

You are correct...you will not see me at the tryouts, I am in my 40s and stopped playing a long time ago. My child, on the other hand, wont be there either, and it has zero to do with her playing ability, which has developed quite well at her present club thanks for your concerns. What will keep her away from your organization is people like you and the way you talk about and treat other people's children sweetie.
