They are but they also wanted to give your kid a shot at playing in this super tournament. Should I tell Surf you passed on this opportunity for your kid?

Simply put, there are not enough numbers of current members interested in attending to create a team at every age (so they are combining age groups) and in addition, they are also looking to generate interest from folks to remain after the experience.

Surf Cup is available for current NY Surf players but as part of our outreach program for women's youth soccer, NY Surf is giving local players an opportunity to experience Surf Cup.

"The San Diego Surf Cup continues to be the premier summer tournament for youth soccer, featuring the top teams in the nation and drawing the attention of thousands of spectators while attracting more than 500 college coaches and scouts.

Surf Cup will once again be played at either SoCal Sports Complex in Oceanside or Surf Cup Sports Park in Del Mar. Both facilities are among the best in the nation, featuring up to 22 full size fields on pristine grass. Every year, Surf Cup flies in the best referees in the region to match the level of the best teams in the nation who will come together to produce epic matchups."

Hear is what some of the top professionals have said about Surf Cup

“It’s awesome. I’ve spent many a weekends sitting at the polo fields watching the tournament. It’s brilliant. It’s a great tournament… great facility. It brings all the best teams together. San Diego always has great competitive teams in national levels and players playing in international levels.” (KUSI Sports)
Jill Ellis, Former Head Coach, US Women's National Team

“Surf Cup has always been my favorite tournament. Being a local girl, I’ve always felt so lucky to have this in my backyard.”
Rachel Buehler Van Hollebeke, US Women's National Soccer Team Defender

“From a recruiting standpoint, Surf College Cup continues to be the leader in providing the best platform for placing players in college. It’s the only tournament where you can scout both men’s and women’s teams from across the country as well as internationally.”
Tara Parker Tara Parker, Co-Founder and President of ScoutingZone
