Long Island is full of mediocre teams and players “generally speaking”. True D1 talent (not back of the bench roster fillers at crap academic schools) can be counted on 1 hand. Any tournament would be of same quality . But as long as the kids are having fun and growing as a mature adult, why bother caring?

On D1 talent. That's every region. So many people just don't get that bit.

LI is a cesspool of money grabbing organizations. The top teams and clubs are never solid 1-22. The best LI teams have way too many players on their rosters that dont belong but the roster space needs to be filled (even if its a semi walk on) and LI parents are more than willing to write those oversized checks. Driving your kid all over the east coast rarely works out. Just look at the commitment pages every few if any kids play big time soccer coupled with big time academics in college. LI underperforms nationally and with placing kids in bigtime college relative to the vast amount of kids playing

If you above at the Spring Scores & Standings ribbon you can click on the LIJSL link...right now they still showing the Fall. When they update to the Spring schedule you will see it by simply clicking that link...keep trying it. I agree they should be out by now, but you know LIJSL beats to their own drum as always....

It was available on BOTN March 14. So no reason to be sad. Now you can plan your schedule for 4 weeks ahead

Don't be an arrogant know it all. This same thing you describe above is everywhere across the country, not just LI

Go back just a few years ago between NYCSL and LIJSL there were probably about 2,500-3,000 teams that's a pool of like 40-50k players. For the size of the LI player pool we absolutely underperform on the national youth stage and with funneling players to the top D1 programs. Those are facts. Yes we had Allie Long and Crystal Dunn but for the thousands and thousands of players and the insane amount of money we throw at the sport any objective person can't defend LI's results.
