SUSA Showcase shaping up to be a good tournament:

Some local groups missing though, where’s LGN, Smithtown, Brentwood, Slammers?

Looks like limited travel to local tourneys at Susa Manhattan Tuckahoe. How will it all work out with HS soccer too.

Players will have to choose

A small group of elite level teams. The rest are lower tier teams. It is nice to see STA-MUSC is playing. They always have quality teams.

Thunder
Susa
Quickstrike
Bulldogs
Sesa
Barca
Valencia

First tourney after the winter break I wouldn't expect much from anyone especially 35 minute halves.
3 good games per team that's it

That makes no sense. Everyone on of these teams, with the exception of Valencia, has played close games.

Congrats to him, unfortunately MLS will somehow screw it up. FC Cincinnati will not promote him to the 1st team anytime in the near future. MLS teams sign foreign players. There are plenty of them that are head and shoulders above the talent we have on Long Island.

OK let me clarify. If my sons team was playing all those teams mentioned in a previous post, I'd watch all those teams. Pretty obvious there. If not, the teams I would watch if his team was not playing would be Al-SUSA, Bulldogs and Thunder as I think they play the best soccer of that group. The others do not play a game I consider very good, IMO. A close game does not mean a team played well, by the way. It's just my opinion so makes sense to me. If you like them all, then to each his own. I would never criticize you if you like all those teams.

I'm just glad these teams are playing competitive games vs one another. If this past year has taught us nothing its to appreciate the little things

I havent seen MSC Thunder in a while, but I would watch all of those teams except Valencia if they were playing each other. My son has played them all at one point or another and the winning is one thing, but they play good soccer. Close games dont make good soccer. These teams are technical. All move the ball and create chances. They possess the ball and play well. I would even say that a team like Barca plays good soccer just missing the finishing so the results are not there. But the soccer is good to watch.

Bulldogs will rise to the top. Best team as a unit. Solid defensively. Great on set pieces.
