OMFG the people on this message board are so delusional. Congratulations on winning your tournaments, everyone who won a tournament, regardless of what stupid tournament it was. 30 years from now they will not even remember which tournament it was or what league it was, however, they will remember their teammates and whether or not they had fun with their friends. Given the way adults act in this forum, I find it heard to believe your kids will have fun at anything as opposed to stepping all over people to further their own worth...

Read the statistics, do the math...7.2% of girl high school soccer players go on to play in NCAA... but hey, at 12 years old they won X tournament on Columbus Day Weekend...

Those LISC parents are insecure weirdos. They don't even realize how hard they're being trolled. You are right, it's about having fun with their friends, being challenged, and learning something about soccer and/or themselves and it can happen at any level and in different leagues. Feel better now?

Taking one's own motivation and value for playing the sport and assuming every other kid should/does feel the same is pretty silly. Some kids play to be with their friends, and for them town teams and middle school ball is fine. Other kids play to be with the best players they can play with and competitive teams are for them. IMO, it is wrong to tell really good players just stay with town teams because its all about memories with friends and 30 years from now I think thats all you will remember. As many crazy parents are out there (we are all on this site, right?), there are a lot of kids who simply enjoy the game when its played at a higher level, so thats what they gravitate towards.

The 7% number shouldn't scare anyone, either.

Nothing to talk about because the SUSA 08 team is still undefeated.

And that’s the most important thing at age 12 right, winning?

Lol. At the younger ages it’s development but on this site that’s all anyone seems to care about.

Never...lol. Especially on this site. Not much more to discuss. People will always bash other parent's and teams and what better way to do it anonymously. I hope everyone got all their hate out over the last 6 months. Susa, EM, and LISC are going to progress and move on and so are the town teams. It would be great if this thread would go silent for a while but the kids on here, I mean the parents, just can't help themselves. Hope everyone has a safe and successful end to their fall season.

No one said winning doesn't matter, of course it does, we are just saying it takes a special kind of loser to come on here with the sole purpose of telling everyone SUSA won this week. A lot of teams won this weekend and none of them came on this site to announce it.

It also takes a special kind of loser to sit here attacking every facet of an academy just because their intention is to achieve an elite status in their particular field while providing what they feel is the best soccer environment possible. They have been attacked for making a state of the art complex, they have been attacked for how they handled their refund from the spring (even though it was basically the same as other academy's), they are attacked for the coaches the employ, for buying out PR, for their fee's , for applying and receiving the federal PPP money to keep their employees paid. The list can go on and on. Plain and simple, you have every right to your opinion but the only people who come on here and bash another program is because their kid didn't make the team THEY thought they should make, their kid didn't get enough playing time, and in plain English didn't get their way in a specific situation. Of course there are always individual situations, there will always be, but enough is enough people. Either have the balls to address your concerns directly or don't come on here and run your mouth. When you do that, that makes you the special kind of loser.

Can you read? I'll answer for you, no. No one attacked the fact that they won this weekend. In fact, I said "good for the kids". The only person or thing getting attacked is the loser parent who never won anything in his or her life and decides to come on here and post that the 08 team won.

I’m looking for club for my daughter in Nassau County, East Meadow or Long Island Soccer Club? Any suggestions on those or others?

If you can read the parent wasn’t bragging that they won. Just that the site is quiet when they win. All of you Peale waiting for these teams to lose so you can make your loser self feel better!!!

Both programs are very good. We have friends in both and both parents and kids love it. They each provide good facilities and have some excellent coaches. Currently, EM has a better 08 team. But this is LISC’s first year with this age group and they have a lot of potential. Cost, Assuming you are coming from a Town team, is much higher as you’re going to pay a couple thousand at both. But the amount of training and games, winter seasons, Futsal, tournaments, would likely be on par if a town team did all that. Any academy will be a burden on the parents, both through time and money, so be prepared. Travel is also an issue, so make sure your daughter is really into it or that you’re prepared to spend a lot of time on or near a soccer field.

You lost me when you used the word "academy". These teams or any other on L.I ARE NOT real academies!!

Real academies invest in their youth program and it’s free of charge. Only the best get invited. Here in the US there is no such thing
