2011 u10 group has quit a few talented teams/players. Unfortunate NYCSL won’t allow standings or scores to be listed for this age group. Sounds like clubs are looking to escape accountability if their teams aren't up to par

East Meadow are gonna lose by a few goals as usual. Barca always beat them and our first game against them we beat them by 4 goals. East Meadow are a distance behind Susa, Barca, Valencia and Orange Machine.

To be fair to SUSA, running a tournament is not an easy task. Couple that with the likely COVID-19 dropouts and they have to re-do the schedule. I'm anxious to see it too as my sons are playing but give them a chance.

It really shouldn't take that long. There are about 5 SUSA teams, 7 East Coast teams,4 Valencia Teams in this age group. Just make 4 divisions of four teams.

They are charging enough to run a proper tournament.

Oh and what about all the other teams in the other age brackets? It's a lot of work and I think it's safe to say you've never organized nor run a tournament. Sit tight and be patient.

Hey SUSA. Don't screw this up. You have a captive audience. Teams aren't allowed to travel to NJ, PA, etc.. There is no Brooklyn Columbus Cup. No place to go upstate. You have all the top local clubs and teams registered. And yet the other Suffolk Tournament going on this weekend, EI, has their schedule out and they had to find numerous fields this year on top of dealing with the current conditions. There are ZERO excuses.

They probably only realized now they can only have teams from Nassau and Suffolk county.

The NYC clubs cannot go to Suffolk since not adjacent county.

Hota may back out, they were told their games would be played at New SUSA facility not in Brentwood.

That’s sad that a club would back out bc of the field they are assigned to
Play on? Talk about priorities! Let the kids learn and enjoy the game for goodness sake! The field?!?

When you are told "come play at our new facility" and then they assign you to Brentwood, that is bullcrap!! As a parent, I agree with Hota and support decision.

I can’t imagine they just realized it now after what happened with East Meadow having to let teams know the night before. Maybe they were trying to get around the rules, maybe they don’t have enough fields, maybe it’s their first tournament and the people running it have no experience and this is a learn on the fly moment. Either way hopefully the event kicks off smoothly and everyone stays safe and healthy.

No way you’re a parent! You’re most likely an official making a skewed judgment. Do me a favor and ask the kids do they care what field they play the game they love on then get back to me...
