The reality is that at this point in the year, with all of the issues we had in spring/summer and many teams totally revamped it is hard to get a good gauge of how good teams will be. Obviously teams that have had very little change will do well against teams that have had a big influx of new players. It is a testament to how important it is to keep your current players happy and motivated, which is something many clubs in upper tier leagues struggle to do, especially as you get closer to HS age.

what a troll... get a life. My kids team has played against them and Susa and I haven't seen much of a difference. Both teams have hard working girls that look like they love the game> They played with a lot of heart today and are improving. Why the need to jump on the message board and try to ruin someones day?

This ruined your day? SUSA? Really? Nothing against the kids its all about the organizations that are selling a dream but do they really do what they are saying. In the end it's about the talent on the field and less about the organizations. I wish they would truly care about a player's development and less about lip service. Have a nice day, sorry you're losing and feel bad that you spent all that money. If your kids enjoy it then so should you.

You misread.. my kid played against both teams. My kids team is doing just fine.

Everyone here worrying about this team or that team and who beats who is hilarious. You have all been suckered by your club coaches and DOCs and this kind of talk is the proof.

What sanctimonious rubbish is this?

We are all here to spew or consume the latest gossip, humble brag, or tease another club’s parents for the pure fun of it. Don’t take yourselves too seriously and just enjoy.

Just because NYSC had an off day last weekend doesn’t mean LISC still doesn’t suck. Will they get at least one win in all of 2020? Maybe, maybe not.

We played LISC and they were not bad, not saying they are great, and they are certainly not at Susa's level, but there are a ton of girls teams in the tri state area that are far worse. They tried to play the right way, on the ground and out of the back so I give them credit for that.

Why the assumption that NYSC had an off day? Maybe LISC is working in some new kids and they had the off day and just couldnt find the back of the net.

Off day? The results of all the LISC v NYSC club v club GA games played that day (on 9/13) LISC won 3 games (‘08, ‘06, ‘05) and NYSC won 2 games that were close (‘07, ‘04). NYSC is a high caliber club and so those results reflect well on LISC no matter how you wish to spin it.

Hey dope, you’re in the G2007 thread. The top LISC G07 team hasn’t won a game all year. LOL! They picked up right where they left off in DA. Difficult to spin that. Sorry but they’re the bottom dwellers of GAL conference.

The team opened the covid-cancelled spring DA season in march with a win vs CSA and opened this fall GA season with a tie to CSA and close loses to STA and NYSC, 2-0 and 1-0 respectively, both great clubs....we’ve got terrific & talented girls that any player would be proud to call their teammate. Enjoy your own particular misery, we’re all good over here.

LISC has an abundance of players heard they are taking everyone seems to me like a money grab and not worried about developing talent.

Money grab?
Sure... The Academy team has a 15 person roster. EM and SUSA have over 22 only their ECNL squads.
And no I'm not associated with any of those teams.
Back under your rock Troll.

I like how you omitted the '03 game that NYSC won...I guess an 11-0 loss doesn't "reflect well" on LISC no matter how you wish to spin it.

Is it the losing record, the bait and switch coaching, or the parent politics at LISC G07 that drives the best players away? They seem to have trouble keeping teams intact to make a case for development. Which clubs are these players that leave LISC going?

Interesting-------Never hear of the bait and switch coaching or any parent politics at LISC. Honestly, those are the facts of the other major clubs on the island that have been around for much longer. I think they have written history on those facts. Otherwise, Ive heard some stories of some of the big clubs leaving the island and losing 9-0 against NJ teams.. soooooo....... Lets face the facts!! LONG ISLAND is not known for producing the majority of the next USA players. So fight all you want, act like asses. Why not let your kids play where they want to with whom makes them happy because in the end, you can play for a smaller town club aka Stonybrook and still play college ball without all the [****] in between. Just saying... PS. sorry you had a pocket protector when you were in school and now you act like an adult bully.

Which of the big clubs lost 9-0 to a NJ team and when?

Do your own hw! No need to use names here. The point is Long Island as a whole is not the end all be all in soccer! We are at a disadvantage no matter what. There are some amazingly talented kids here but compared to what’s outside this island that doesn’t put us on top of the world leaderboard. Now just play nice with your fellow Long Island teams in the sand box.

In all fairness that PDA team may be the best overall 07 team in the country or legit at least top 5. They have multiple YNT-caliber players on that squad.

It is worth noting that PDA's top team would pretty much destroy any other team in this area, whether it is EMSC, NYSC, STA, WC. 7-0 is bad but until you see that team play, you do not realize the difference in their level compared to all of the other teams between Virginia and Massachusetts and probably further than that. The pool of players PDA chooses from is across multiple states, from NY to PA. They supposedly have players going from Connecticut all the way to somerset. No other team is going to compete with that.
