It’s no longer an issue of the kiddies (as you say) but rather the kiddies parents who can contract this “air born” virus, the coaches, teachers, administrators and anyone else put in harms way. Parents who refuse to follow the 5 guidelines for safety including wearing masks. That is what will remains my concern.

So even though Fauci says let us play including football due to our numbers. We shouldn’t? If you are concerned then you/your family can sit out and quarantine for next 2 years. Let’s not listen to the DRs now?

SUSA running a tournament? This reeks like the LI Yellowjackets in lax. A For profit club sending all their teams to their own tournament under the smokescreen of longislandelite tournaments

Everyone has a choice. It’s “free will”. Knowing the situation we find ourselves in right now which is uncertainty at home, at school, at work means we all have important decisions to make about ourselves and our families. Every club on LI that has started up training, scrimmages, playing matches have weighed all the health factors and have put “money before safety”. Every single club that started up. Parents that take issue with clubs that have tournaments and require all their teams to participate have. Choice as well. Just don’t attend and be part of the tournament. That simple. If you take issue with the costs then play for town teams where the cost is less and the vast majority of players are there for the love of the sport. No need to “look over the fence” and criticize clubs that charge fees and the parents who are willing to spend their money how they see fit.

"Every club on LI that has started up training, scrimmages, playing matches have weighed all the health factors and have put “money before safety”. Every single club that started up."
- COMPLETE FICTION. Most clubs don't make much money. Most town clubs are $100-$300 per kid depending on age. The majority of soccer teams on LI are town clubs. The GOVT says its alright to play to soccer so they do it as safely as possible. Don't compare the majority of the LI soccer teams to crooks like SUSA. For SUSA and clubs like it its for money. The rest are for love of the game. This thread should be called "Did SUSA put Money before teaching kids to play soccer".

Sorry but you are wrong and a disrespectful moron . Read your history. The wwii generation sacrificed for The good of all. Today you are not sacrificing for anyone. Clearly you are a trumper. Want freedom but not willing to do what is needed for freedom in the long term.

The WW2 generation complained about their kids who were brought up primarily during the 60s. The people brought up during the 60s became parents of Gen Xers, who they also complained about. Gen Xers have kids now, who we all complain about. There seems to be a pattern here.

You're completely missing the point. Not about complaining. Talking about being selfless and it being a little bit of an inconvenience vs selfish, ( no mask wearing, playing school sports in the fall) . In the big picture, it isn't important.

Why wouldn’t a SUSA team want to attend their own tourney? Who’s being forced? Those who are nervous about COVID? C’mon....you don’t want your kid playing, then don’t have them play. You guys are unreal, making issues where there are none.
