FALSE!! You have strong teams and weak teams everywhere. What's the difference if you go to Jersey and play in a tournament full of mediocre teams and beat everyone by 5 goals? Might as well stay in L.I and beat teams there by 5 goals.

It's nice to play a diversity of teams once in a while to actually see where you stand. If you are going to Tournaments in NJ, you will seek the highest brackets available to test your mettle.

Here's a wakeup call... soccer in metro NY area is a joke run by a handful of organizers whom basically run every team/program. All the best athletes are playing other sports. All this talk about "playing the right way"... lol, you can remember being taught to play the right way when you're playing in an 11PM rec league 20 years down the road. Please w that nonsense, let the kids go out and enjoy playing.

This is correct. The Barca and SUSA parents will cry about this message to justify their $4,000 price tags and college kid coaches.

basketball, football, lacrosse, track & field - i see a big time college commitment for soccer from the metro NY area, and it's like... Southern Connecticut State college

Your comment is not about best athletes, it's about most colleges would rather put $$$ towards other sports, which I agree with. The interest is just not there and rate of return is zero. That doesn't mean they are better athletes than soccer players.

These are primarily American sports while soccer is not and as far as the pro the world has shrunk we have imports in every sport and college soccer does not generate funds

Ask a soccer player to hit a baseball. Ask a baseball player to kick a soccer ball. Report back.

Exactly just let the kids play and fall in love with the beautiful game! Like I tell my 10 year old son: Have fun and enjoy your teammates. More importantly allow your kids to play multiple sports. Do not specialize at an early age!

Kozy teaches the right way
-----------------------------------------

I guess you never witnessed a Kozy rant on a child or a ref. Subbed for making a mistake and thrown to the bench like a dog to be forgotten with.
Worst thing you can do as a coach or mentor is have a child quit a sport they been playing since u5.
YES your beloved Kozy has done that

Ask a soccer player to hit a baseball. Ask a baseball player to kick a soccer ball. Report back.
Ask a baseball player to run for 90 minutes without collapsing, kick a soccer ball in the intended direction, run at full speed controlling a soccer ball whilst avoiding defenders, report back. A soccer field player cannot stand around waiting for something to happen, like in baseball. You're probably one of those fat bastid dads in a softball league. hahahahha!
