According to LIJSL calendar, schedules are to be released tomorrow.
As far, as school districts, West Islip has not allowed their soccer club access to fields for this weekend’s tournament. They have not said anything about regular season games yet, although you could probably infer that they would not let them have access for regular season as well.
I have also heard that Connetquot and Bayshore are not granting permits.

The longtime president left and a few of his guys that had a grasp and the guy in charge now is not well liked and deservedly so. He is just not a nice guy. He appears to be that guy that was beat up as a kid and now thinks he has a little bit of power. As if running a soccer club is power lol. He treats most people like crap

Although I did not bring him up in referring to West Islip, yes, Lombardi is the president and he is not liked. His problem is he more interested in turning a profit for concessions than in truly doing what is best for the club. However, this could also be said of a lot of clubs.
This weekend’s tournament has over 500 teams applied, a record number. On the flip side, they have a lack of fields. Instead of trying to hold a smaller tournament, they are trying to accommodate this number of teams.

I have also heard that Connetquot and Bayshore are not granting permits. Connetquot recently voted to give out permits but has not actually given them out yet. Permit applications require a Covid-19 safety plan that the district must approve.
