As leagues have been eager to take club team registrations for Spring 2020, and Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, the NYCSL will not be rushing teams to register to play in the months where there is no vaccine available, and where people aren't practicing the keys to prevent the spread of the virus, which are wearing a mask, Social distancing and washing hands.

The most important thing to take into account is the safety to the players, children and adults, and not to engage in high risk activities due to this deadly virus, which the world is suffering from. This is the reason I had made the decision to temporarily cancel the season until we can safely get back to the field.

As owner of the NYCSL, we shall tentatively look to have a late Spring start by the end of May 2021, when there has been a vaccine implemented that stops the virus, as well as people adopting safe practices, to keep our participation safe at all times.

The NYCSL will announce in the Fall, we will be tentatively accepting open registrations for youth and adult divisions for a late Spring 2021 start, with a modified schedule, focused on limited travel.

As of today, August 20, 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic has 22,511,187 cases worldwide, with 789,798 deaths.

The months of July and August have had an increase in cases leading to an average of 1,000 Deaths daily. The US total cases are 5,559,547 with 173,798 deaths in the US. Source: Covid-19 Daily Video from Johns Hopkins UniversityJohns Hopkins University

COVID-19 DATA IN MOTION: THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2020

Universities have had to close in classroom classes due to COVID-19 cases spread on and off Campuses.

The NYCSL will be carefully open in 2021 following CDC Guidelines, as well as local and State Government lifting restrictions.
As we all know by now, NY State has not authorized parks to permit parks for the Fall 2020. Please continue to be safe, as we all must prevent further spread.

I have no idea what in the world you are talking about. This isn't March or April and we aren't in Florida. NY State's positive Covid Rate is 0.74% today and has been under 1% for weeks. Further, by all accounts, outside activities are much safer and inside ones and risk to children is even lower. We can - and many clubs are - get safely back on the fields NOW. Not in Spring 2021. Given this stance, I don't see why any clubs would want to join NYCSL in Spring 2021 or ever.

This is really sketchy. NYCSL took our money in the spring, didn't return it, had us register for the fall 2020--"free," mind you--but now gets to hold onto our registration until May 2021? No. You should give us back our money now.

This is a different NYCSL (thankfully) - i.e. not the Grossman league.

Me thinks this has more to do with the lack of fields in NYC than any concern about safety.

This league is not associated with New York Club or Gary Grossman, and will never ever be. We are an official travel league operating out of New York City.
We would love to work with teams and clubs from Long Island, and other locations, offering a league that it's membership will be proud to be a part of.
This is the Official NYCSL, New York City Soccer League, which will always make the best decisions working together with clubs and teams.
The decision to suspend 2020 was made in early March.
The news of Parks not authorizing Fall 2020 permits was expected, which is troubling that other leagues were in a rush to collect registration and schedule games without available fields to sustain a season.
Please be safe.

NYClub shouldn't be confused with the NYCSL, which is not a 5 Borough league. NYCSL, based in NYC, is a New York State league that operates as a travel league for the entire NY Area.
NYCSL will be posting details for the 2020-2021 season soon.

NYC recently announced they will NOT be giving permits for any of their park fields. This is a huge impact on any soccer leagues/clubs hoping to play throughout NYC this Fall. ADD to that Long Island High Schools also currently NOT giving permits for teams to use their fields I do not see how any leagues happen this Fall sadly.

The reason he shouldn’t do it is that he had the acronym first. He was taken advantage of because he didn’t have the finances to litigate the matter against Gary Grossman who’s stole the acronym from Coach Sanchez.

Coach Sanchez should change nothing.

Coach Sanchez has run into brick walls because of Gary Grossman over the past few years. It’s Gary Grossman, one of the currant whore’s of soccer that beat down on this minority coach.

We are Not a 5 Borough Only league.
NYCSL is a Statewide, New York Area league.
Please do not confuse us for NYClub, and what they have done.
