As leagues have been eager to take club team registrations for Spring 2020, and Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, the NYCSL will not be rushing teams to register to play in the months where there is no vaccine available, and where people aren't practicing the keys to prevent the spread of the virus, which are wearing a mask, Social distancing and washing hands.
The most important thing to take into account is the safety to the players, children and adults, and not to engage in high risk activities due to this deadly virus, which the world is suffering from. This is the reason I had made the decision to temporarily cancel the season until we can safely get back to the field.
As owner of the NYCSL, we shall tentatively look to have a late Spring start by the end of May 2021, when there has been a vaccine implemented that stops the virus, as well as people adopting safe practices, to keep our participation safe at all times.
The NYCSL will announce in the Fall, we will be tentatively accepting open registrations for youth and adult divisions for a late Spring 2021 start, with a modified schedule, focused on limited travel.
