Who takes bragging rights this year?
SUSA ECNL, LISC GA or EMSC ECNL? Any other contenders?

How about-good luck to all the girls coming back, and hopefully they get some type of season in. You are trying to compare teams that never play each other, so anyone commenting has not basis for their post, as for all three cubs/teams at this age group you are citing-they are all exceptional in their own rights.

In fact they do play each other. SUSA and EMSC play each other in ECNL league play and last year LISC beat SUSA in a tournament.

Split EMSC & SUSA ECNL teams now with rosters of 23 or so. A great way to develop players.
10 mins of game time IF you are one of 18 players allowed to dress for game.

How can 18 players get only 10 minutes of game time? Are they only playing 20 minute games with the last 10 minutes being played with only 7 players on the field? I'm confused, how does that work? And is that all of ECNL or just EMSC and Susa? And if it's just EMSC and Susa, do the teams they play, play the full 90 minutes with the final 70 minutes being played against an empty field because the girls on EMSC and Susa have already logged in their 10 minutes of game time? Please explain how all this works, TIA!

not OP but I think he was getting at that the starting 11 play almost the entire game , the other 7 on the bench will only get minimal playing time. That is what I have seen last season.

Players 12-18 get 10 mins

Do all 6 players that are numbered 12-18 get 5 minutes per half or do 3 of the 6 players get 10 minutes in one half and then the other 3 get 10 minutes in the 2nd half or do some get 3 minutes in one half and 7 minutes in the other sometimes? Also, how does it work if 2 of the 18 girls are GKs? Does one get 80 minutes and the other get 10? Again, TIA!

How would you know what "he" was getting at? "He" said if you are one of 18 players allowed to dress for a game, you get 10 minutes of game time. I was just wondering how that worked.

BECAUSE CLUELESS, THIS IS THE WAY TOP TEAMS AND ACADEMIES WORK. THE TOP PLAYER PLAY AND THE REST SUPPORT. IT IS PRETTY COMMON KNOWLEDGE. GO BACK TO INTRAMURAL WHERE DADDY MAKES SURE EVERYONE GETS EVEN PLAYING TIME TO WIN THEIR PARTICIPATION TROPHY. STOP TRYING TO SOUND SMART, IT ONLY MAKE YOU LOOK ARROGANT, ARROGANT IS NOT SMART.

Its simple math. 23 players on roster ECNL only allows 18 players to dress allowed to play. So 5 sit and watch entire game. Of the 18 even if there is 1GK probably there are 5-7 legit players or coach favorites who will play the entire game. That leaves maybe 5 spots to sub for 12 players. ECNL rules allow no sub back in after half. So once you are subbed you sit. NO team needs 23 person roster. Put your kid in another team with good training and let them get game experience,

From the ECNL website: 30 persons allowed to be registered per team, 18 players per game day, once you are subbed out you can not return in that half of play.

30 on any roster is a travesty. I don’t think it often happens, though. A number of the kids on an ECNL roster are also on rl roster, but they’re eligible to play for the first team on occasion.

This is when parents should realize that pressing coaches and administrators to have their kid play on the top team isn’t productive. I wouldn’t want my daughter traveling all over the place to only see a few minutes of play at games. If that was the case I’d rather her be on second team and get more minutes, with the hope she’ll develop whatever is missing for her to be on top team

Yes agree unfortunately what's good for you kids development isn't good for the parents ego.
