Susa fields are open for practice and scrimmages this week. I am happy my son will get a few years on them.

OK what does this have to do with the thread? Clearly the marketing intern from SUSA is everywhere.

I drove by two days ago. Only one of the four fields had turf on it. Two more had the gravel and turf was starting to be laid down on one of them. The fourth isn't boxed or graveled yet. There is no parking lot yet.

Well, on the bright side, that is one less school field the kids at SUSA have to rely on. Good for those kids.

I hope it does get done soon as it would be great to have some more nice fields on LI, especially ones that can be used at night to expand the game hours available in the late fall. At the same time I find it odd that so many people keep claiming that it is further along than it really is. If I had to guess I'd say that three of the four fields should be ready for the fall season.

No definitive timeline has been provided by state officials. NYSPHSAA continues to advocate & work on behalf of the 562,000 student-athletes who participate in member schools.

First game on the new Central Islip fields ends in a brawl and the game gets called. Way to teach the kids how to play the game the right way. I guess having a facility is more important than teaching sportsmanship.

I guess kids fighting after the game on the field is OK at SUSA. You might have a nice facility but you still have no class.

If it was a little get together why did one of the SUSA dads hop the fence to get involved?

That said, they lost 4-1 so I get their being cranky.

Man what a weasel lying [****] stirring POS. The dad went to calm things down. Not get involved. The score was 3-2 SUSA lost. The other team didn’t have a shot on goal till the coach mixed up the kids in the last 10 minutes. If you are going to go and watch them at least tell the truth. No one was cranky , quite the opposite. Parents were happy to sit and watch the boys play. That was both teams parents. Everyone and everything was fine all day , stop the fairytale’s.

If you are happy Or not cranky why did you throw your coach under the bus.....”mixing the kids up”....I am sure parents of the kids That were “mixed up” appreciate reading that...
Maybe the Coach wanted to see kids in different positions in the event a player or two is missing...
