There is only 1 former Alby Fury Red at LISC top team.

Nope it’s 2 now and possibly a 3rd. Thx Syracuse for giving yourself up.

How do you know all this if you aren’t part of the club?

Sounds like LISC is doing a disservice to its players with such a large roster. Apparently EM at 16, SUSA at 18 and LISC at 22. Parents couldn’t have been told that when they signed up.

LISC is looking to field 3 teams. Rosters will be 16-18 each.

Looks likes LISC has a chance of sticking together for a while.

everyone wants to hate on the shiny new toy. LISC has a good chance to be something legitimate. they have the coaches, curriculum, indoor/outdoor facilities, and now the players are there. expensive, but what isn't that's worth anything. stop with all the hate.

The purpose of "Youth Sports" has been lost to the parents who never made it. Good luck to all the Teams in our area and make sure the girls keep playing and enjoying the game. Everything else is B.S. and shows why so many people are going to be very lonely someday.

If you are actually nice to people and don't talk about them behind their backs you can find out anything. Amazing what you can do when your not a nasty Garden City Girl. Your mouth gets you in trouble and doesn't do much for you in the friend department. People who are actually genuine and normal have conversations and share information.

No. It’s not. The others were from Alby Blue, the second team.

Still calling kids (athletes) 2nd team players and they are only 11/12. I figured as a parent and educator you would know better. I guess you will have to wait and see.

It’s amazing the hatred and jealousy of people, when a team stays together parents get along, the team has success, the girls actually like eachother and aren’t posting videos about eachother the moms aren’t being nasty to eachother or being two-faced to eachother, what I find even more funny is when a certain mom talks [****] about a group of girls on a team and then that mom doesn’t get her way later on and ends up at the same club as the kids she talked [****] about lol cause the rest of the team had invites and she didn’t karmaaaaaaaasaaaa

It makes me so sad and and sick to think I sit on the same sidelines as you and my child calls your children teammates and friends. Most of this is coming from albertson whether it be the blue or red team. Not sure how they will ever come together as teammates when parents speak such hatred of one another and of the other players. To speak about girls that did not get to continue with the team and devalue them is disgusting. They are 12!!! I am truly hoping the mixture of Susa girls mixed in will help bring some type of collaboration to this very talented group of girls. Before typing and bashing think about what a family might be going through.

Whatever poison atmosphere you guys created in Alberston please keep it away from SUSA, LISC and EM. The rest of the parents and players don’t need the negativity.

I’d be embarrassed to walk on any field and say I was part of that Alberston group. Keep all your individual thoughts to your self and enjoy your kids.

I know what you mean, but all of these "age/year" threads will be closed down at the end of the month and then all of the age-group/year threads are updated for the 20/21 season. Just a bit more patience.

Having been thru this, anytime there are multiple teams in an age group there will always be sniping and backstabbing among parents. A club will never split teams equally. You're child will develop naturally. If you're on the second team don't just keep jumping from club to club. If the player improves they'll get to the next level. Just be honest in assessing their ability. Just because you're the best on your local town team, doesn't translate to the bigger pool of players. This is what causes parents to go at each other.

And likewise been through it, all kids develop at different ages. This is a girls 08 thread....within the next year or two as these girls start to go through “their changes”, you will see that the best player ay U9 is not necessarily the best at U14. Yes, there is the exception, BUT that is not the norm. They will all change. Stick with the game, play, and have fun.

Oh yeah, study too. Because that’s what will get you to college.

Can a "Safe" thread be set up for next month for all the Cupcakes that love to come and talk trash but Cry when they are called out? Listen Sweetie they need a thread that they feel SAFE in so that their feelings won't be hurt. It's a GC mom, Yoga Pants, North Shore Roslyn thing that you wouldn't understand. They like to put everyone down so that there kid looks like a super star but as soon as someone fights back they want it to go away.

Yoga Pants for Women
Long gone are the days where the only reason you'd wear yoga pants is to do, you know, yoga.

Yoga pants have worked their way into the athleisure and just straight leisure world by storm, and for good reason—they offer a stylish look for any body type, are one of the most flattering workout clothes options, can be versatile enough to wear both on and off the yoga mat, and most importantly, they’re crazy comfortable.

When shopping for the best yoga pants, consider their purpose in your life. If you plan on sporting them to your next gym sesh or hot yoga class, look for pairs made with performance-ready fabrics that’ll keep you cool during the sweatiest workouts. Or if you prefer something that you can lounge in at home, opt for cotton yoga pants that’ll feel soft and comfortable enough for everyday wear.

Now that this style has become so popular, there are tons of different yoga pants for women out there to choose from. So to help you sift through the seemingly endless options of the most flattering workout clothes, we’ve compiled a list of 16 of our favorite pairs below, from a variety of brands and price points. And while you’ve probably heard about the Lululemon yoga pants and leggings that have gained a cult following, these top-notch picks boast all of the same features—but at lower prices.

Whether you’re a seasoned yogi looking for performance-ready yoga pants with pockets for your next Bikram class, or a casual wearer looking for seamless and flattering high-waisted yoga pants to wear while running errands, you’ll find what works for you here. And the best part is the majority of these options can double as maternity yoga pants thanks to their stretchy material and flexible, comfortable fit. (Related: Cute Maternity Workout Clothes You'll Actually Want to Wear While Pregnant)

Here, browse the best yoga pants for women that aren’t Lululemon, but offer all the same features—like a flattering fit and stylish, versatile look that can be paired with any outfit.

“You’re yoga pants” has become the “you’re fake news” of this forum. Perhaps it’s time to return to thoughtful, respectful, humble, empathetic and kind conversation. If everyone here (and in this country) tried to meet those criteria for everything they say, imagine how much nicer of a place it could be.
