Dix Hills S.C. Partners with NY Surf Soccer Club to Provide Top-Flight Training and Elite Pathway for Members

DIX HILLS, NY – July 10, 2020 – Dix Hills Soccer Club has established a partnership with New York Surf Soccer Club to provide Team Coaching and Player Training services. This partnership gives DHSC players access to top-notch training and a direct path to elite NY Surf teams playing at the highest levels youth soccer has to offer.

Effective immediately, Jon Feinstein, Technical Director for NY Surf, will become DHSC’s girls Travel Team program coordinator, and Olando Evans, also of NY Surf, will become DHSC’s boys’ Travel Team program coordinator. In addition to his role at NY Surf, Feinstein is a Region 1 coach of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and was the Head Coach of Women’s Soccer at Mercy College from 2009 – 2017, leaving as the winningest coach in school history. Evans is the Founder of Exclusive Soccer Training and is the coach of 5 DHSC boys’ teams, taking home 5 of 6 league championships for Dix Hills in the 2019 season.

“Our goal has always been to provide a fun, inclusive environment for boys and girls of all skill levels,” said Martin Targett, President of Dix Hill Soccer Club. “I believe this relationship with NY Surf will take our players’ experience to the next level, enabling all players and teams to perform at their best levels while thoroughly enjoying the game of soccer. I am delighted to welcome Jon and NY Surf into our organization, and I am thoroughly excited to renew our relationship with Olando in such an impactful role.”

“New York Surf is excited about our partnership with Dix Hills Soccer Club,” said Jon Feinstein. “Knowing the great tradition Dix Hills soccer has, we can’t wait to start working with their teams.”

“I am excited to renew my relationship with DHSC in this larger capacity while simultaneously beginning a new journey within NY Surf,” said Olando Evans. “Surf Soccer has a national reputation for excellence, and I am excited to bring my talents to the organization. Likewise, I know first-hand the development potential of the players in the DHSC organization, and I look forward to helping all players reach their potential.”

Surf is a stand up organization and Jon is really getting them back on the right track. Great job by them hiring Orlando, he is unexceptional trainer. My kid has played for him for 4 years and he is nothing but class.

Smart move to hire Orlando. Great role model for the kids and great trainer. He trained my son years ago and everyone loved him. This is a guy who is all about doing the right thing.

As best I can tell from speaking a few times over the past month with someone involved with the Slammers is there is no one at home. Your thinking is on the right course. Best I can tell there isnt anything going on there, but with all this uncertainty heading into the Fall and the better than 80% chance there will be no Fall season, it is hard to attract or promote because what can they and many other organizations promote, promise, or offer?

No, and the Dix Hills club is more screwed up than ever...after getting rid of Kozy and getting clean the club turns around and hires this DOC Olando..another major headache...anyone going to that club or their DOC is headed for a brick-wall dead-end. Put a fork in that club as they are done.

Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make.

The people running Dix Hills soccer are a bunch of clowns with a capital C.

I do not believe this Dix Hills/Surf partnership ever actually happened.

This is what happens to clubs with a POS leading the club. Dix Hills used to put out Power house teams that competed on the National level. The departure of one man has sunk this club for the last 10 years! Left in the hands of MT to completely destroy it!
