not sure if this question was answered yet....
Is a player now still able to play for two different teams if one is in LIJSL and the other in EDP?
I know players used to have two different passes..is that still the case? If not what are the new changes?

Thank you

If within the same club, one player could play for every single team in the club they are age eligible for whether those teams are LIJSL or EDP.

If dealing with two different clubs, you can have a pass in one club where you can only play for the LIJSL teams in that club while at the same time having a pass in a second club where you can only play for the EDP teams in hat club.

So if I understood correctly a player can still play for two different clubs with two different passes?

Yes.

I just wanted to be clear that if within a single club, it's a universal pass. The same player could float between the clubs LIJSL and EDP teams.

But when getting cards from two different clubs both are restricted. Meaning that the LIJSL club pass you got for the first club is only good for the LIJSL teams within that first club and the EDP club pass that you got for the second club is only good for the EDP teams within that second club.

I haven't seen anything from ENYYSA on that yet. Normally you can only get a pass from one club within ENYYSA. They made an exception for EDP and previously for some specific situations with select teams such as the rough riders program. I'm not aware of any exceptions being made in a similar manner for NYCSL at this time. It may end up being a moot point anyhow as NYCSL is going to see mass defections now that they aren't using US Club passes anymore and their "state cup" no longer has the cache it used to have. I know my club has pulled all it's teams from NYCSL for the fall.

And this is still allowed with ENYYSA correct? I know something things have changed that’s why I’m asking. Just want to make sure players are still allowed to play for two different clubs in two different leagues with two different passes. (LIJSL and EDP)

Seems silly to me to go that route and not even give the new nycsl a shot for those leagues. Lijsl might be ok if at least half of the old nycsl teams play there this season but that's a big if and EDP is now somewhat in line with nycsl post nycsl move but will have longer travel distances. With these options nycsl still seems like a better league for this season at least, that is until yet another new league shows up in the near future which is inevitable.

LIJSL is deep in every age group for both genders. And if you want better competition there is EDP. The advantage of NYCSL was the free-wheeling almost anything goes world of US Club, and that is over now. Between the switch to USYSA and Covid I'd be surprised if NYCSL ends up more than a division or two deep in any but the youngest age groups.
