I don't think that's clear yet. I think whenever we next have league games, they will start as NYCSL. After that, they might rearrange all these leagues into something more efficient and with meaningful tiers.

Higher level teams are going to EDP. The lower tier teams most likely staying with NYCSL/CJSL

A few points as USCS is till catching their breath after being stabbed in the back by Grossman that I can share.

1- The New York Cup is no longer a Cup. While Grossman is still doing it next Spring you all need to be very clear that it is nothing but an ENYYSA tournament like any other tournament. Dont let the name fool you. It is strictly a money-maker for Grossman and nothing more. There is nothing in it for your team or club as it is just another local tournament.

2- NPL. There is no NPL in out area anymore. That might change and that is going to be addressed after the 4th in another call. Since there is no US Club league here there is no NPL. I will go out on a limb and say that USCS may work out something with the WYSL to administer and run the NPL, but that TBD.

That's it so far.

My Concern is how the team registration fee credit given by NYCSL for all team who registered for the spring is going to work with EDP , if some of those team are placed in EDP (NYCSL $400 vs EDP $835) those teams would need to cough up not only $$ for new cards but also money to EDP (everyone knows how EDP loves money), can't hardly wait to hear from NYCSL on this one.

I don’t know. I’m not involved with details and rules surrounding passes.

CJSL uses the same passes as LIJSL and there is currently no allowance for a player in both leagues at the same time.

CJSL is the equivalent of LIJSL, except it covers the NYC area.

Unless you want to play teams from and travel to NYC, why would you want to play in CJSL, no offense to the league?

US Club Soccer's "rep" in the area has to be held somewhat responsible. I think he was blind sided by EDP switch from US Club to USYS and now GG's move with NYCSL

His name is Mike Gould and he is the best asset for EDP/NYCSL!!
His arrogance certainly contributed to the demise of US CLUB in this area

Gary was not well liked at US Club. Seems clubs and teams complained about Grossman to US Club, plus Grossman's swagger that US Club needed him and would do his bidding.

Now for the question, who if anyone wants to start a US Club Travel league on Long Island? SUSA is not interested.

Very interesting question. Many of the younger teams (U13 & down) played for an LIJSL club team and then another team in NY Club for additional play. There was no pass conflict and also the teams I speak of weren't quite ready for the higher level of EDP nor wanted the longer travel to play games. NY Club was really perfect for mid range competition. Now all that changes as EDP is essentially forcing teams to play in their league via the Grossman Maneuver. I doubt teams will be allowed to play LIJSL and CJSL/NY Club as both are under ENYYSA and USYCS.

There is zero chance that players will be allowed to play LIJSL and NYCSL anymore. EDP barely got that exemption and that was after USYSA had already given EDP the keys to the empire.

Its in the ENYYSA bylaws... players can be dual carded and play on two seperate teams, as long as they declare which team's roster they will be on for the State Cup, will need 2 cards. or on 1 team and play in 2 seperate Leagues, where you will need only one card. Nothings changed other than the carding system. In addition teams still have the different levels of play in NYCSL, LIJSL, or even CJSL if they so choolse. People need to back away from the cliff.

Let's hope so on the NPL front. Monopolies are almost never good.

How does a league exclude for profit clubs from participating? Years ago, my club’s league tried to do something similar and the league indicated they were told by the National office that was against the rules.

Yu are saying two different things. Which is it
LIJSL does not allow the for profit clubs
You are saying CJSL WILL allow for profit clubs unlike lijsl?

I believe what they are saying is
-Yes CJSL will allow those club
-per USYS, Your not allowed to deny any club the right to play in any league (implying that LIJSL should not be barring them)

Nonsense on the part of LIJSL. A few years back there was a lawsuit that involved a Queens Based Club and league. Not going to mentinon names. Where this was such a case. USYSS threw it out the window and favored a ruling on behalf of the club. You cannot deny any club organization the right to not be able to join any league. LIJSL like to be the big bully on the block and think the soccer world rotates around them.

While what you about Grossman are true, he is not out of the picture. This is not like the SUSA/PRSS deal. GG will continue to be happy taking your money while continuing to trade on a minority owned NYCSL. Seems Rudolph Sanchez who is the owner of the NYCSL is starting get some balls and no longer afraid.

The question is did GG play Shilling or did Shilling play GG?
