There is a clear trend here...the trend is that without exception, whether it's SUSA, LISC, town teams, etc., all they do is continue to recycle the trainers and coaches. Until this closed circle is opened and new talent is brought in, the competence level of soccer gurus will not change. It really doesnt matter who LISC or SUSA or anyone hires. It's the same people over and over again, year after year.

No, SUSA is not getting them.

The same bunch of girls, who last year tried out and were going to be the basis for LISC’s 08 team, are supposedly going back to LISC. At the last moment last year, they bailed on LISC, which subsequently caused LISC to not field an 08 team in the 19/20 season. They were promised something by Surf, which either was not fulfilled or parents grew sick of the high tuition. Although they were successful in the fall, they were in misplaced in a division with teams who were dreadful. Consequently, you can’t put too much stock in the results from this past year.

Wrong, girls tryout for multiple teams every year at the early age groups. No one committed to LISC more than just trying out. Surf did a bait and switch with trainer last second. At the end Surf did not have a long term plan that parents could be excited about. The upcoming 08 LISC team will compete against the best teams in LI. Best of SURF and NHP girls coming together.

I really do think that people have a lack of reading comprehension skills.

Where did I say that the Surf girls committed to LISC? I did not. I said that they were supposed to be the basis for the 08 team and then they bailed. Once they bailed or did not accept the LISC invite, what was LISC supposed to do? Tryout season was over and most players had committed elsewhere. Have more tryouts a la SUSA and field a team regardless of skill just for the sake of it? They chose not to field a team.

Whether you feel defensive about the results of going back to Surf is up to you. Obviously, a year later, you’re going back to LISC. Given this is youth sports, they’ll take you back with open arms.

However, given you’ll be playing in GAL, you probably won’t play anyone from LI. Good luck to you and your child.

Given likely delays for formal competition and games across the board could be a number of friendlies pulled together. Would be great to see the Susa/EMSC/LISC teams play out a few scrimmages given all the talent across the board.

Are you really that much of a loser that you care so much about two programs you have nothing to do with? Seems your kid tried out for LISC and didn’t make it. Go pack to the pantry and have a cupcake or two and settle down.

I would think SUSA top team after merge with FURY we don’t want to play them just yet need some work. Those two teams had a bunch of top players in age group.
Who their coach this year anyone know?

Did I strike a nerve with you since all you can resort to is insults when facts are laid out for you and you look foolish.

There are no sadder words than girls tryout for multiple teams. Players don’t know the difference. They just want to play. It’s parents like you running around and chasing some badge like it is some brass ring to have. And, please, Surf didn’t offer you a long term plan because there has never been a plan so what were you expecting. This is youth sports, what did you expect a 5 year plan with a promise that each and every girl will get a full scholarship to a Power 5 school. I think you’re the bigger fool if you think any youth sports organization is going to give you a plan and then follow through with it. If anything, look at the past three months and see how much has changed in the youth soccer landscape, both locally and nationally. I bet all those parents from affected clubs were given plans.

Why don’t you go take a timeout and calm down there, Karen. Maybe take a Xanax.

Kid never played for Surf. You’re a weirdo. Can you explain why you care so much about what other kids are doing? Do you even know your own child’s name?

Again, insults are all that you have because the facts are indisputable.

Since you are such a skilled debater, if your child did not play for Surf, why did you interject and say that there was no commitment to LISC last year and Surf pulled a bait and switch? Are you ashamed of your choices and are now trying to deflect because you look foolish?

Frankly, a question was asked where a set of players was going. The question was answered with facts, which you chose to question and then try to dispute. I retorted and you chose to act like a juvenile.

Why don’t you grow up instead of acting your child’s age? I feel sorry for your child if this is the way that you speak and act. I bet you’re a pleasure on the sidelines.
