They just spent a ton of money acquiring Albertson, still have people on payroll and have a facility to pay for... how can they afford to give money back. I wouldn’t expect Moussa to tell Larry “yea it’s true”. He’s going to protect the brand. Hopefully they’ll credit the parents for next season.

That falls into the "not our problem" category.

But it seems that it is our financial problem.

It's our problem that SUSA is illegally holding our money. It's not our problem that they decided to purchase a club and continued to build a new facility during the pandemic when people were out of work. They knew exactly what they were doing and basically said FU to all of its members.

Hopefully people are smart and leave before the financial hole gets bigger. Next season will not happen and to invest money into it (with empty promises) is just plain dumb.

Moussa is a liar. The guy is is out there recruiting players telling them they are on the top teams while returning players have to wait till the end of June. If anyone believes a word that guy says then I have a vaccine to sell you too.

That falls into the "not our problem" category.

But it seems that it is our financial problem.

For us it’s a moral problem with SUSA so that’s why we are not coming back.

so you are taking your kid off a soccer team that (he/she) was on and moving to a new team because of a moral issue with the club. yeah, that makes sense.

Parents get blasted for being team hoppers and just following the new shiny object. But now it's Ok to move your kid off a team that they may enjoy being on and is good for them because the club has a return policy that is not favorable, although similar to many other programs.

You seem to be confusing a return policy with theft... A return policy happens when you get something actually returned to you. Theft is what happens when someone takes something that is not rightfully theirs or fails to return money when goods or services have not been provided. Susa knows the difference.

First time on here in quite some time. Only jumped on because another parent mentioned to me that the issue was being discussed in a thread on here.

This is in response to Larry's post. We do agree that it DOES make sense. Not just a moral issue. We were raised and have raised our children to DO THE RIGHT THING. Simple as that. That is what it comes down to.

Why does it make sense? Because Where is this going? Be realistic. This is our 4th kid through this crazy soccer world that was somewhat normal back 19 years ago when our oldest daughter started. Yes, we have 4 children and they have been a bit spread out! Only reason we went to Susa was that we were not happy the way our town club went after many many years there. Our other 3 children ALL went through our local club, and had a good experience. After one year of travel with our local club, we brought our son here. Son had a decent two years and NOT going to lie, he did progress and learn. However, we are very turned off by how this Spring was handled. Having dealt with Moussa years ago when oldest daughter was playing, we must say he seems to have changed. Money does that to people. We know it is not entirely him, but his name is attached to it and to be honest, at least in our minds when we hear Susa, we think Moussa. Think that would be the case with most people. Not exactly thinking Schneider when you hear Susa. The sight of him in the sweat suit at the field makes us laugh to be honest.

While our son has made great friends here, he will go play with his local friends and be just fine. Know why? Because at the end of the day it just does not matter. All these kids better study and get good grades if they want to go anywhere. Can be just as happy on a "town" (and put the " " because not many teams are even TRUE town teams anymore. Even local town teams have kids from multiple towns) team and have just as good experience....playing in Cups, going away to tournaments etc. Does every child have to play in EDP, ECNL, ABC, DEF, and any other combo of letters one can think of? No. Can have just a good soccer experience wherever you choose to.

Before all the big mouths start up and say it is because our son could not "make it", don't bother. He is not the super star, but fits in just fine here. Just know that all kids do NOT play college soccer, nor do they all want to. The coach has called 2x worried about when we are going to register. Why?" Because they want the $500 deposit. That has turned us off even more. Pressuring for money, while giving a ridiculous "credit" for the Spring. Just brush the spring aside and move on asking for more money before we even know if there will be a season. Absolutely not right in our minds. Pay money now and if for some reason we do not play or the season is delayed, the we can get ANOTHER credit???? Not happening here. That is why we won't be back. So yes, it does make sense.

And NO need for all the trolls to start with the un(soccer)educated comments. Just go on your way hoping your child will be the next Mia Hamm or John Harkes. Those may even be names you never heard of! Keep chasing the dream!

lol exactly. They still have your money and are now asking for more. We are just glad that JR has finally stopped chasing former Susa players, Asking them to join their college league. There’s a reason why they have never joined before. But seriously, texting, Instagram and Facebook? So driven for the money.
