Following the guidelines of State Governments, US Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer State Associations, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the Spring 2020 EDP League season. A credit will be issued once all operational costs have been determined. Details regarding your credit, including how to use it, will be emailed to your team. We would like to thank all the clubs, teams, coaches, players and families for your ongoing support of the EDP League as we manage the programming through these unprecedented times. The safety and security of our soccer community is, and always will be, our highest priority! EDP is exploring a number of options to provide additional competitive opportunities this summer. More details will follow as "return to play" guidelines are clarified at state and local levels. If you have any questions, please reach out to League Manager Jen Marcella at Jen@edpsoccer.com

Unfortunately we knew this would happen eventually. Maybe they’ll provide some tournaments over the summer or a fall league. These children need to be safe but also get back on the field, longer away from the game you’ll lose more and more children. You can’t stop playing a sport almost a year. Enough is enough is this about a virus or politics and we are caught in their cross hairs.

I ask, why play in their events if they keep cancelling or worse, squeeze in one game so they can keep it all? Last year there were numerous EDP tournaments that were rained out...show me the money.

EDP gives credits for everything in increments as well. For example if you get a $800 credit, you can use $400 for one tournament and $200 for two other tournaments. You can't use the full credit towards any one tournament

Their tournaments are no big deal even though they say they are.

EDP’s refund policy is almost as bad as SUSA’s.

I guess I will put my daughter on the local town team that plays in LIJSL so she can play with the girl who picks flowers during the game.

LOL Larry! Just think about it if you did that and invested the potential thousands of dollars you saved from an “Elite Soccer” experience you can more than afford to pay for college for your daughter and focus on her getting a good college education.

I heard that Clubs, Leagues and tournaments were going to pay referee fees and the referees are to issue credit when they do that team

I dont have to think about it. I DID IT. What I got for daughter #2 was Duke and for daughter #1 Northwestern U. for their under graduate. Graduate school for both was on them. Daughter #1 is still in school. Hopefully Ms. Miller will be finished over the Summer or early Fall and Ms. Miller will be Dr. Miller, PhD.

The idea at playing at a higher level soccer academy like SUSA, EMSC, LISC, isn't to be saving money on college. It is really to provide the appropriate level of play for our kids. AT least that's why my daughter plays at one of those clubs. She wouldn't be happy playing with girls not on her level. that's just not fun
