Hello. Hope everyone is well. Want to know how are your soccer clubs handling the costs for the canceled season--credit? refund--full or partial??

Kings Park Soccer Club

Good Evening KPSC Members,

As you all know by now, the Spring 2020 soccer season has unfortunately been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. LIJSL and NY Club cancelled their seasons last week and our in-house season was canceled last Friday when schools were closed for the year. EDP has not officially cancelled their season yet but we anticipate that happening soon. Any tournaments our teams would have participated in have also been cancelled.

The 2019-20 soccer season was unprecedented for the Club and may be the most difficult season in the Club's 40+ year history. It started with Tiffany Field's continued lack of water due to delayed NYS work within the park, progressed to Flynn Field being unavailable for our fall season resulting in the Club having to rent lights for weekly practices. It now has ended with the cancellation of the Spring 2020 season due to Covid-19.

With this in mind, we are instituting the following credit policy for the 2019-20 season:

Developmental Pre-Travel & Travel - a $50 credit will be issued with graduating seniors receiving a refund.

Over the past few weeks, some of you have asked ways in which you can help the Club. Donating your credit to the Club if you deem it appropriate, volunteering down at Tiffany to improve the fields all our children play on or participating in our fundraising activities are some of the ways you can help. Together we can come out of this extraordinary time stronger, KPSC Strong.

Stay Safe & Healthy!

Respectfully,

KPSC Board
