New York City FC Academy welcomes the FC SESA Academy, the Nassau County based club, into the NYCFC Youth Partner Program.

By combining forces and becoming a Youth Partner of NYCFC, FC SESA Academy gains access to NYCFC’s First Team training sessions, USSDA Academy training sessions, Youth Partnership Coaching Clinics, and a lot more.

FC SESA is an Oceanside based Soccer Academy, currently operating out of 5 outdoor fields in Nassau County. Mitchel Athletic Complex being its primary and central location, drawing players from all over Nassau and Suffolk counties, as well as the 5 boroughs.

FC SESA Academy’s top-performing teams currently compete in the US Youth Soccer National League Conferences of the Eastern Development Program League. Since the start of FC SESA, the program has been home to many top-level Long Island youth players both on the Boys and Girls sides, producing players of high quality and USSDA Levels. This youth partnership between NYCFC and FC SESA will now directly link FC SESA players to earn opportunities to be selected by NYCFC Academy.

In May and June 2020, FC SESA Academy will be holding tryouts for Boys and Girls ranging from the birth year 2012-2004, and building highly competitive teams that will compete directly in the National League Conferences of the EDP. Throughout the entire year, players will be given a chance to participate by selection in NYCFC Player Academy ID clinics and training sessions with a possibility of full-time signage into the NYCFC USSDA.  For more information about the program contact email joe@fcsesa.org

Nice try on your failed attempt to discredit a good organization that is changing the landscape of old washedup crap in Nassau. SESA cuts a lot of kids if you want more proof look at their top team on the 04s. 90% of the team is new from 2 years ago when Danny boy got sacked.

Nothing against FC SESA, but don't you think saying they are "changing the landscape of old washedup (sic) crap in Nassau is just a bit full of pomposity?

Maybe, but they have changed things in their home base of Oceanside....more to come shortly on that subject.

That is true. Defending their name, rights and business from the sleaze of OUSC certainly is a positive change.

This partnership is basically what you make of it, some clubs partnered and did nothing with this, others took advantage, learned and made real connections with the NYCFC academies benefiting their players. Judging by what SESA has been doing latley and growing there is no doubt they are trying to build a seriouse academy. Its good foremost to the region on nassau county because their are a lot of talented boys and girls that go unnoticed as well dont have enough money to pay for the DA BWG's Cosmos, and Metovals , at least at SESA they pay much less, receive great training, and now exposure to the NYCFC academy coaches. If im correct LIPFC is in the same situation and recently sent up two 05 talented boys into the NYCFC DA. I get why SESA partnered up with NYCFC and i wouldn't be surprised if their are a a lot of new talented boys and girls at tryouts this upcoming year

Big difference between being a partner and an affiliate of NYCFC. Any club can be a partner if they pony up the $$ and get ticket packages. Being an affiliate actually gets you something the club will benefit from. If SESA is an affiliate or becomes an affiliate and not just a partner then they are taking things very seriously and are doing something good for the program and kids. Anyone know which path they've chosen?

SESA is not new it has been around for some time now but last year they hired a new coaching staff and directing staff that has grown the club significantly. As to the other poster, your news is false, even with the partnership you can send players to NYCFC DA academy you don't have to be only affiliated with them to do so. Case and point LIPFC is only in partnership with them and send two 2005 players up to the DA academy of NYCFC. The thing that SESA has going for them is the number of facilities it has access too and now its young dedicated coaching staff. The only reason people are going there is that the training is good and they play in the National League

Do not have to be a partner or affiliate to send kids to NYCFC. There are plenty of kids throughout all ages there that were not at a partner or affiliate club.

Being a partner is meaningless. You get to pay money to NYCFC to be a partner and look good to everyone. LIPFC is not a partner, and two 05's and an 06 were selected to join NYCFC. Become an affiliate and then you are talking about something more.

Actually incorrect, you pay for the tickets that are discounted and given to the families in the club but what is free is the ID clinics, coaches invites to the pro center training with the pro team, and the ussda academy coaches including the lesson plans etc for the DA and word on the street is NYCFC USSDA already are reviewing four of the top 04 boys players at SESA who play in the EDP National league conferences. Keep hating fools

you don't have to be a partner or affiliate of NYCFC to make in into NYCFC but it definitely helps when a club like SESA is partnered and has assessed to NYCFC directly. This means that SESA is held to higher standards as a club and will develop players the right way that fit the pathways and development of NYCFC. Do you think NYCFC wants players with bad habits or players that do not play the right style fo soccer? NO..so they created these partnerships and affiliations so that they can directly have access to players and to foster the layers that at the moment cant be offered a spot on the USSDA academy at NYCFC

How do you figure I hate SESA? No hate at all. I merely pointed out there is a big difference between being a partner and an affiliate partner. Anyone can be a youth partner if they pay. Discount tickets are no big deal as they are readily available without paying up. Affiliate partner is where you really get better benefits. As previously said if SESA is now or becoming an affiliate partner that is far more important and a bigger deal. As far as 04 boys being looked at that's great and good for them if really true. But when did SESA go National League? Last year they were North Atlantic DII? Couldn't find anything on that.

Maybe the reason for affiliates but partners are just a money grab for you to get your name at the Stadium in the BX and for them to sell you some tickets. Go read about it on their website. Anyone can become a partner.

I don't see the NYCFC being involved in just a money grab but I do see how clubs would just go for paying a few bucks to get their name on the NYCFC website as a way to look good and attract players not necessarily looking to send players to NYCFC if they are good enough. An affiliated partner is truly looking to partner up and have kids looked at, games scouted and receive coaching mentoring among other things.
