SUSA G10 is the top in this age group. Everyone else is battling for second.

Susa G10 is the top team but that’s only because the LGN Energy team dismantled..

So, just curious- your child seems to show potential and is loving the sport while playing for the local club team... now what? At what point do you make and move and where would you go to assist in the growth? What do you consider the best club for skill and game development?

There is no need to move at this age level. If the kid has a decent trainer and enjoys the game, there is no reason to train elsewhere. If the kid gets to be a sophomore in HS and thinks they want to play in college - cross the bridge at that point. They need to continue to fall in love with the game from the ages 9-15.

If she loves playing with friends and classmates as much or more than the soccer itself, take the prior advice and don't move from your local club. It may not be top notch training but it probably fulfills what she needs. If she doesn't care about the friends and just wants to become a soccer terminator, you can explore options in your local club. Play up a year with more experienced kids. Go beyond just team training activities and do all kinds of clinics and camps, even those offered by other clubs. You can even get personal instruction if you can afford paying for that. After looking around at those options you aren't happy that she'll improve then don't be afraid to move; however, unless you know she's good enough to get to the top of the A team at a very competitive club there is a good chance you will suffer playing time and I think you'll regret it. How much would it suck to make the switch, pay that much extra (in both money and the time spent travelling to a new club probably much farther away) and then she'll sit most of the time. I'll bet she doesn't suffer for playing time where she is, and you should want to keep it that way. There are ways for her to get better while staying in her club.

Not "terrible" advise but that comment is typical of the current Long Island Soccer environment

Torino is good but not as good as LGN Energy or Susa G10. They are a quality team that is teaching them the right way to play.

Sophomore in HS is too late to make the move and playing up isn't always the answer either. Bigger/taller girls does not mean better quality & more experienced. At 12-13 years old is a good time to make the move if you feel that is what she wants and needs.

Spoken like a typical mommy or daddy that doesnt want their terrible town soccer club to fall, so lets keep the kids at the club at all costs so that we can destroy their crucial years of development with horrible instruction and awful coaching. Just shut up and pick your ass up from your horrible town soccer team playing in LIJSL and take them to a proper program so they can learn something. She will make new friends at the new program

Yeah, I have got to say I agree with this douche. Screw the town club, you and your kid should be grateful for the opportunity to sit in the car an extra 2hours each school day for the privilege to pay thousands of dollars extra to support someone else's kids who can REALLY play soccer. Your kid's butt is much better at keeping the bench warm anyway, this guy would know from experience....He's completely correct that they (and YOU) will learn something, even if it is that life in the LIJSL isn't all that bad, until your kid is old enough to not want to speak to you anymore. This guy knows that well too because his kid (and anyone else for that matter) doesn't want to speak with him.

Oh, BTW, this douche is now going to chime in about how great his kid is at the top ECNL DA team where coaches are constantly begging his kid to stay, and are always apologizing that they still aren't good enough to keep up with his kid's talent.
