Larry, thank you for posting this on the site. It’s a reminder to everyone who reads BOTN of what is truly important. I do not know this young lady or her family but just looking at her smile wearing her soccer jersey and medal with a big smile really is what sports can do for every child. I would like to think that when she was playing all she thought about was this great game and playing with her friends. Hopefully it allowed her to escape from her illness and allowed her to be a kid running and playing with her friends. I would like to think she is now at peace and playing like Messi on a soccer pitch doing a “Maradona” on some other player. It made me think about my daughters who play soccer and how lucky I am for there health. It made my day giving to the fund and I hope others will also give to ease the burden on the family.
