That is really exciting stuff. I just can't wait to see what MO's spring roster for 16/17 will look like. Oh boy. Thanks so much for announcing to us here that your roster is expanding this spring. Can't wait.

I had heard they were dropping most of the team, and of the ones that were left, a few more chose to leave with prospect of no playing time; I can't believe that is actually going to happen. Wow.

Goes to show, there is no or has there ever been any sort of development at MO.

How long should clubs waste time and money on kids before cutting? 5 yrs?

This is a very good point. What are your thoughts about how long should clubs wast time and money on trainers or DOC that don't develop players ?

That it is. It really just became the same as everyone else. Battle for the top players. Develop the team. Hold tryouts to replace the ones that left for "greener pastures" and repeat. There are low teams that cannot compete and there are top teams that play great. It sounds just like ECNL, EDP and everyone else. Started at the top but has been slowly moving down in level.

Maybe they should select the right kids and actually develop them. The process of taking the best kids and replacing them for the next best kid isn’t working. To the RedBulls credit they have signed over 20 players since starting the Academy. NYCFC is still trying to get their footing and we’re lucky having Reyna. But got nothing for him because he went to Broussard before signing a homegrown contract so they don’t get anything for him. Red Bull manage those situations better for sure.

They are not cheap but when they see a generational talent like this particular kid, they probably train for free or at a steep discount in hopes of associating with the kid when he becomes a professional.

I don't see anyone bashing the kid. I see someone rightfully mocking an asinine comment. A better question might be why is the previous poster lavishing praise on a 10 year old? Generational talent? My god. If the kid is that good parents should shut up for 8-10 years and let him prove it.
.

No bashing the kid at all. A 10 year old with YouTube Instagram Facebook and twitter over 150k followers is wrong.
