you know Clarkstown 07 literally just won Jeff Cup top flight, right?

DA is stronger in this birth year then the ECNL. Susa lost to LISC in the EDP tournament and LISC is winless in DA and Susa is in first in the ECNL.

That is pretty funny. SUSA would win 9 times out of 10. Congrats on your 1 out of 10 victory.

Hard to say. The DA clubs in our area mostly play in the NEGDL this year. LISC is the only one in DA and they are traveling very far and playing teams outside the NE region. Very hard to take anything from one game result.

The Comment about SUSA beating LISC 9 out of 10 times must have been written from someone who was not at the game. Is this SUSA parent or coach, who likes to post things about LISC , that jealous of a better coached program? MF took a bunch of girls from all over the island , who have only been playing together for 2-3 months down to a tournament and as you stated beat the #1 ECNL team who have been playing together for 3 years and beat them outright . Schedule the 10 games and let’s see what happens.

They supposedly have a team in LI that is mostly East Coast girls, not 100% sure but think it’s something along those lines, practice in LI and play games at their home field in queens, big $ too!!

Yes correct! Some East coach girls joined with Mineola girls and joined Met Oval in Long Island division. I wonder what dream MetOval sold them. They don’t have a girls program.

SUSA will beat LISC and ANY other team in this age group on Long Island. Don't be jealous that we are the best that Long Island has to offer. Actually, with all the crap going on in all the other so-called 'premier' programs you should all be thankful that SUSA exists. We make LI look good. So, you're welcome!

Met Oval has them practicing on LI this year but will be interesting to see what happens next year. East Coast lost most of their 07 girls so used possibility of a Met Oval double roster to keep those who stayed. Wish them well but hope they do right by the girls and families that followed them to Met Oval.

The LI model of grab the best athletes around and win young is going to fall. The academies that grab soccer players and develop soccer players will win in the long run. Athletes are easier to train than players.
If that Met Oval team stays together they will be dominant...along with several other teams on Long Island.
The culture is changing.

Met oval has some real soccer players and are well coached
Soccer players will win in the long run and will learn to be athletes in the long run.
Teaching players the game and being good at the game is hard.
No coaching model is perfect, but from an outsider: that team is trying to play properly.
...and they are getting better at it.
My daughter has played teams that would and have beat Met Oval, and those same teams play crap soccer and will not reach the same end results.
I hope they stick together, because it is fun to watch.

The Met Oval has been a wannabe big soccer deal since forever. They failed and continue to fail. There never was and isn't now a solid leadership. The closest they came was Jim Vogt, but Jim didn't drink the Kool-aid, he was the Kool-Aid.

This message board is crazy.. Im the one that asked about LI teams going to showcase. I was heading down for my kids team on NYSC and wanted to see if I was going to see an familiar teams.. It wasn't a person from Met Oval asking for a shout out. Some of you need to calm down.

People just leave Met Oval alone, really this is 12 year old soccer. These kids didn’t do anything wrong to anyone so just let it go. There are real world problems going on but you are stuck on trashing a whole club based on your opinion of some [****] that happened back in the day. Let the kids play, just be decent human beings to each other. No one is stopping you on where your daughter wants to play.

Nope, not a parent.I just have a kid in the age group and know this is a good group of girls with good families. These girls from that Mineola team have been a team to watch for a while.
